Host canceled on us

The property manager canceled on us at the last minute and did not even have the courtesy to send a WhatsApp on the day of cancellation. We were informed when I called from the Uber after leaving the airport when I was asking for where to pick the key from I have complained to VRBO and they told me they would provide a refund and also reimburse my last-minute accommodation charges
