Lovely market towns of Hay on Wye and Presteigne are enjoyed where you can find a breadth of independent shops, cafes, galleries and antiques and there is also the Mappa Mundi in Hereford which should not be missed.

Caterers work in the house often and are reasonably priced. There is a fantastic farm shop 1.8 miles from the house. All major supermarkets deliver. Pub and cafe are about an hours beautiful walk by foot. Dogs by arrangement.
