The location is good but very secluded from tourists attractions. You have to travel a little further out but it’s quiet, clean and pleasant place to stay.
I really enjoyed my stay in the Wolf Den. It was clean, cozy, and centrally located near all the outdoor adventures I had planned. Alicia was very kind and attentive as well. Overall, a great place to stay!
Such an amazing experience we stayed in room two. The ride to the rental was so comforting and beautiful! The host was amazing at communicating. The rooms are super clean and well maintained! I definitely recommend:)
Alicia is a great host! We’ve stayed at a couple of her listings and they are always spot on. We had never stayed at the Wolf Den before but it was perfect for a Wham Bam steelhead outing. The other guests were there for the same thing and we all hit it off immediately. Great experience. Already booking for next year!!!
The stay and the Inn was fantastic. Clean, quiet, affordable, perfect location for our travels. Beds and pillows were comfortable, nice to have the small kitchen, owners provided a wonderful stay and experience at the Black Bear Inn. Having lived in the area for many years and visiting for the first time in years, my wife and I will definitely be back again and again.
**Everything you could possibly need — and then some!**We absolutely loved our stay! One of the things that stood out the most was how much thought was put into all of the little details. It truly had **everything you could need** to make your stay comfortable and convenient. There was coffee available, plenty of towels and linens, roomy mini-fridges, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We especially appreciated the firewood that previous guests had left behind and that was neatly stacked and available for us to use. They even had a lighter available to get the fire started — such a small thing, but it really shows how much attention was paid to making guests feel taken care of.Everything was clean, comfortable, and well organized. We never found ourselves thinking, "I wish they had..." because somehow, they had thought of it already! We had a wonderful time in the Manistee area, and this was the perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring. You can really tell the owners take pride in providing a comfortable and welcoming stay.We would **100% stay here again** and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The WolfDen was a super cute and cozy room. Quiet and perfect for our 4 day stay.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
This was a very basic room. There was no onsite staff or any amenities beyond the basic room. The bathroom was so tiny, my knees were a hands length from the wall when I sat on the commode. The shower was the size of the old-fashioned telephone booth. The room included a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, tea kettle, dishes, and flatware, which allowed me to bring leftovers for my meals. There's ample opportunity for fishing and other water sports, along with hiking and snowmobile trails.
