Very clean stores and restaurants in walking distance easy check in and out process wound highly recommended staying thier very nice and quiet boat ramp and fishing pier right down the street
Great place for a weekend. The upstairs bed is meant for children only because it has a low ceiling. Well stocked and had everything we needed. The golf cart was a great bonus! We loved driving to the pier to fish. The only complaint was the Air conditioner was very loud and vibrated the wall and bed.

This Bungalow was great!
We enjoyed our stay at the Pelican House. From the fully screened porch to the roomy interior, it truly feels like you are on vacation. It has everything you need in the way of kitchen utensils to linens. It was very clean and well maintained. Check in and out was a breeze. You will even find a set of bicycles in the driveway should you decide to take a ride to the bay front of this pleasant little town. I am ready to do it again.
Small, simple, and exactly what we needed for a low key weekend away. Check-in and check-out were super simple. No extensive list of to-dos. Everything we needed was provided, including bikes and a golf cart. Very pleased with this property and will definitely refer to friends.
Came down with my daughter and two son in laws for a weekend fishing trip. The house was perfect for us four. It was clean and well stocked. Quiet neighborhood just a fun golf cart ride from the pier.
Took a quick trip to the coast and the Pelican House was available so we thought we’d give it a go. House is in a great location, host/hostess had everything stocked, charged and situated for us. While there we used both general stores and the gas station all very easy and accessible. The house is very close to the pier and park. Small quaint town you can stay in and wanting to go out get to; Port O in 10, Lavaca 18, or Rockport in 40 minutes. Overall a very nice place to visit and don’t wait til your last night to enjoy the screened in porch playing games, making memories while grilling the days catch! Thanks again, we’ll surely be back.
I have never been a huge fan of staying in houses and just preferred hotels because I knew what to expect but this place has changed my mind. It was so incredibly clean, looked even better than the pictures and the host was wonderful.
It is in a tiny little fishing coastal town that was so much fun to explore on the golf cart provided. We had fun identifying all the fun birds with the guides at the house and my kids loved the loft! We even visited a few of the local restaurants in the town and they were great and we had a fun time at nearby King Fisher beach.
We hope to come back to the Pelican House, such a wonderful little house!
There were 4 adults that came down to Seadrift for my wife's birthday and to do some crabbing and fishing. Location was great and the house had everything that we needed. The screened in porch was so relaxing. We used the golf cart provided to tour around town. Owner even left a birthday cake in the fridge for my wife. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again. Thank you!
We were looking to decompress, take a beat and clear our heads! This town offers solitude and entertainment! The best part was the breeze and silence for me Pelican house was just the ticket! Bonus friendly wandering tomcat ( unless you’re allergic) Everything was as described the photos cannot do this cottage justice. The local atmosphere, both weather and township are on spot for a laid back tropical experience. Comfortable furnishings, well stocked modern kitchen,I could go on but just know, the place is more than a bargain! As for the local eateries , this trip We did not dine out We have in the past and They offer authentic cuisine that more than satisfies the palate! Please give the folks at Pelican House and Seadrift your business and discover an affordable hidden gem.
What a nice little rental in a very nice location a few blocks from the bayside park. So convenient to the grocery. We enjoyed the bikes and the golf cart for the several weeks we stayed. The owners were so helpful and friendly. The house had everything we needed. we would definitely stay here again at Pelican House.
This home was delightful. Nicely furnished and decorated. Wonderful amenities. Gracious hosts with great communication. Fully stocked kitchen and the snacks and coffee so appreciated. Very clean home and yard. Will stay again for sure!
Excellent place. We were here for a fishing trip and this really worked great for us.
This whole deal was really easy to do. Booking, check in and check out was all very simple. I feel like the price is very reasonable also. Great place!!
PERFECT, CLEAN WITH EXPENSIVE TOUCHES AND MORE THAN WE EXPECTED
This property was awesome. So clean. All new appliances including high end washing mach.&dryer. comfortable mattress. Great screened in porch. One large bathroom. Upstairs loft is small but cut and useful. Their are two window units used to cool the house. I saw no big bugs inside or around the house. Only mosquitos but they were bad since they had lots of rain. Not a bad drive to Port O Connor. We fished with a guide named Kim Goulden and took our catch to Josie's mexican restaurant and I highly recommend doing the same if you like to fish and eat fresh fish. The place even had some free snacks on the island, coffee, ice packs in freezer, off spray, 6 water bottles in the clean large fridge. It could not have been any better to us. I would love to stay here again. The price is fair and the owner is easy to text and ask anything. She is willing to help:)
Amazing time and great community, the home owners know how to make you feel comfortable and with the water so close it was nothing to take the kids night fishing! Family enjoyed and the hostess was very thoughtful to personalize the birthday we were celebrating! We will definitely return!!
What a wonderful place to stay. When we first got to Seadrift, the area experienced a very powerful thunderstorm and the power was out. Zoi was very helpful finding us places to get groceries and dinner in the next town over called Port O'Conner. Thank you Zoi.....
Seadrift is located perfectly to experience what Texas coast has to offer. We traveled on day trips to Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, Rockport, Port O'Connorr, Port Lavaca and Victoria. We went fishing in each one with great success and fun at every stop.
Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
Kent & Paula ☺
Great place for a family of 5. Plenty of room for everyone, and the place was spotless! I'd highly recommend this place if you're in town!

Precious!!!
This is the cutest house with the most hospitable hosts we’ve had so far!!! We rented the golf cart which was so handy and fun for going over to the sea wall... the hosts were so accommodating- they met us once we arrived to hand over the golf
cart and had set up a cot for my 3.5 y.o. I would highly recommend this house and these hosts- lovely! We’ll be going back for sure!!!

About the host
Hosted by Ziomara Hunt
My husband and I have lived in Seadrift for over 25 years now. We love this unique, small fishing town. We enjoy San Antonio bay, where most of the people love to fish, but sailing is our personal favorite thing to do.
Why they chose this property
This house was built in 1956. We purchased it in 2014 with the idea of making it a vacation rental; completely renovated in 2016-2017. This little house have endured storms and hurricanes, including "Harvey". We love it, and we hope you and your family too.
What makes this property unique
This little house is located just walking distance from the bay. It is small but has all you need to enjoy your stay comfortably. It has a large screened porch where you can enjoy coffee early in the morning, have dinner with the family and witness an amazing sunset.
