"Flying Fish" Bay Front Home!! Fishing Pier outside your front door

Our sweet coastal cabin, we’ve named Flying Fish, is perfectly situated on San Antonio Bay in Seadrift, Texas. Walk out your front door and enjoy your morning coffee, sitting on the best front porch with the best view in the area. Watch the pelicans feed and porpoises play from your own private oasis. You can walk down to the public lighted fishing pier any time you like and throw in a line.

Our home offers sleeping accommodations for up to 8 people. The master bedroom has a king size bed with an adjacent room with a full sized bed, perfect for a small family. One guest room has 2 full sized beds and the last guest room has a bunk bed. There are 2 full bathrooms. This home has a full size stacked washer and dryer for guests to use. The kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator, electric stove/oven and all the other necessities to help you feel right at home. The kitchen, living room and dining area are designed with an open floor plan with beautiful views of the bayfront and water. In addition to the oversized wrap around porch there is a sunning platform on the side of the house, allowing for more privacy.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please have all dishes washed. The drying rack is stored under the sink on the right and it is fine to leave the dishes drying on the rack on the counter.
Trash cans are located on the outside wall to the left of the garage. Please place trash in the cans.
Please leave the beds unmade so that we know which beds have been used. No need to strip them.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
The fee per night covers up to 6 guests. Additional guests, up to 8, will be $50 per person per night.
Upon check out please wash all dirty dishes and leave to dry in the drying rack. Food draws roaches, which can be an issue here at the coast.
Please sleep between the top sheet and fitted sheet to help preserve the top comforters length of use. (Who knew I would have to make this a “rule”)😃

"Our stay at Flying Fish property was wonderful! We appreciated the owner quick response to fix our YouTube channel problem and helpful local recommendations. Such a great place.

We had an amazing time here. The house decor was very cute. Perfect for a fishing trip as the pier is a very short walk away from the front door. The front porch is a great place to relax with a morning coffee or an evening tea.

We’ll be back!

This was a win/win for our crew of adults. Those that wanted to fish had a long pier in front of the house and those that wanted the beach had a short drive to a much less crowded beach than I’m used to. Fully stocked kitchen we cooked all meals in, house stayed cool in a hot summer and the front porch was a lovely place to hang with lots of shade.

Fishing Vacation

The location overall was great, it is located near the dock for fishing. The cleaning needs a little more improvement in the appliances and we have little access to the tv networks (Netflix). Overall the place was great, except for those small details. I would definitely come again.

Relaxing on the bay!

Vintage and eclectic furnishings with modern bathrooms and scrumptious wraparound porch with lots of seating and views. Host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Added delight was sunrise service on beach across from us with old time singing and rejoicing. Filled my needs of a relaxing place and nice beaches within 30 minutes to collect seashells. Very well stocked kitchen with lots of spices to aid in preparing meals. Couldn't have asked for more!

Amazingly

Omg this place was amazing. My family and I enjoyed everything about it. House has plenty of room, very suitable for kids to run around the porch that is huge and it also has a very beautiful view of the water. The inside was very pretty. They have everything you need plus they keep it stocked just in case. Like coffee,towels, seasonings,paper towels just everything period. It was my familys first time there and we will return very soon. Oooo and ms. Anne and cliff made sure we had no problems you can message them and you'll get a response asap. They where very polite people. Thanks y'all very much.

Perfect Vacation!

My husband and I have vacationed at MANY rentals and resorts around the world (literally). But, this experience was one of the best! Even though it is not as luxurious as some, it has the warmth, coziness, and comfort of few. The king-sized bed (only one that we used) was super comfortable for our older bodies...we truly rested extremely well. The quality of the linens and towels were plentiful & certainly above average. The hosts have equipped the home anticipating so many of the amenities that we rarely find in a rental (beach towels, beach chairs, games, fishing gear, 2 refrigerators, extremely well-stocked kitchen). The amount of closet space and furnishings provided were more than adequate for our needs. The availability of the two bicycles and the propane gas grill were the icing on the cake! Last, but not least, is the ideal location on the bay front across from the public pier with gorgeous views through the many front windows as well as the cooling breeze and ample seating on the front deck. The home and yards are immaculately clean & maintained. Additionally, the existence of several very good restaurants within blocks was also a plus. We felt very safe and secure in this seaside village which added to our very relaxing 4-night stay. We have already booked for another great vacation! Caroline and Lamar Garrett; Boerne, TX

Only thing that surprised us was the master bedroom (king bed) did not have attached bathroom and the other room with two futons and bunks did have attached bathroom. Also, one bathroom did not have bathroom fan that worked. Other than those minor details, the space was outstanding! Would definitely return.

Perfect Getaway

Everything at the house was as pictured. Clean and cozy with updated bathrooms. We enjoyed not having to climb the steps of a typical bay house, yet still be able to enjoy being right across the street from the water! My husband and son enjoyed fishing on the pier, while my mom and I relaxed on the front porch, read a book, and watched from afar (but so close by!). The boys got bait from the marina/bait camp within eyesight down the road, we took a quick trip to the beach in Port O'Connor for a few hours, and we enjoyed dining at La Terraza just a mile or so from the house.
