About this property
A peaceful easy stay for your Southern Utah Getaway!
Built in the 30s and renovated several times through the years, most recently in 2017, this 3 bedroom and 2 bath home is in a town so quiet you can hear alfalfa growing. Walk out the door and you're on the mellow brick road to all Southern Utah national parks and natural wonders.
The living room offers space for conversation and relaxing. Wifi is available as well as an HD TV with local stations and Roku so you can stream videos, TV shows, and movies. If you have an Amazon or Netflix account, you sign in with your account and view movies during your stay. A CD player and DVD player are available to use with the TV. Some CDs and DVDs are there to use.
The kitchen contains cups, plates, silverware, and many cooking utensils. It offers an electric range, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, and pots and pans. A clothes washer and dryer are also available.
One bedroom offers a queen bed. The second bedroom has a queen and a twim bunk bed set. The third bedroom contains a queen bed and a twin bed. There are two hide-a-bed couches in the living room for extra sleeping space.
Two bathrooms, one bathroom has a full-sized bathtub and the second bathroom has a stand-up shower.
The house sits on 1.25 acres of which about 1/4 is planted with grass and embedded with mature trees. There is an uncovered patio off the back porch with a BBQ grill and long serving table.
Groceries: Junction has a General store on Main Street
Fuel: Junction has one gas station on Main Street.
Prepared Food: Nearest cafes are in Circleville 6 miles to the south and Marysvale 15 miles to the north.
Cell Phone Service: Cell service is very spotty. Verizon network is the only carrier that works in the area and cell phone signal tends to come and go.
The property is surrounded by many southern Utah attractions, most within a three-hour drive.

About the host
Hosted by Andrew Anderson
Andy grew up in the Salt Lake valley but spent many summers in this valley with his Grandfather's family, he loves the area and has many fond memories. This home was owned by his parents when he was born, then sold but years later his mother bought it back. It was the gathering place for many family reunions and outings. In 2000, She sold it to Andy and Camille, hoping they would revere it as she had and keep it in the family.
Camille grew up in So. Utah in an area that is now surrounded by the Grand Staircase Monument. She enjoys spending summer days here to get away from the Las Vegas heat, where they live.

Why they chose this property
This home has been in our family for many years, Andy's grandfather settled in this valley many years ago, farmed, herded sheep and raised cattle. Andy's parents purchased this house after they were married and we purchased it from them after we were married. It has been added to and renovated many times, most recently in 2017. Some of the original lath and plaster still hides within the walls. Our children have learned to work in the process of remodeling, adding on, painting, and designing this space. Many family memories reside here, and now many new guests have added to those memories.
What makes this property unique
Some of our guests have found tranquility, healing, rejuvenation and family bonding within the walls of this rustic old home; others have found it a restful home base, a place to come back to after the diverse adventures Southern Utah offers, like a day fishing at Otter Creek, exploring Bryce Canyon, Big Rock Candy Mountain, ATV trails or the Mystic Hot springs; or taking longer explorative drives through the circle road of Highway 12 to see Escalante, Grand Staircase monument, Calf Creek falls, Boulder and Boulder Mountain, Capitol Reef to name a few. Nights are dark if the romantic moon isn’t shining; stars are visible and might shoot across the sky, and crickets and birds offer a serenade.
