The Area
Weymouth Harbour features a vibrant waterfront area lined with colourful buildings, cafes, restaurants, and shops. It serves as a hub for recreational boating, with numerous pleasure craft, yachts, and fishing boats moored along the quayside. Visitors can take leisurely walks along the promenade, enjoying the scenic views and watching boats come and go. The harbour is also home to Weymouth's iconic lifting bridge, known as the Town Bridge, which spans the entrance to the inner harbour. The bridge opens periodically to allow boats to pass through, creating a fascinating spectacle for onlookers. With its picturesque setting, lively atmosphere, and historical significance, Weymouth Harbour is a delightful place to visit, whether you're seeking a leisurely stroll, a taste of fresh seafood, or a glimpse into the town's maritime heritage.
