Time spent in this beautiful place was just that.
Time spent in this beautiful place was just that. Beautiful! I didn’t need to go anywhere! Nature was on the doorstep. The surrounding area was fields and the lake was within walking distance. The accommodation was everything I needed for a ’personal’ retreat. It was clean, comfortable and relaxing. Bird watching from the door. A true gem of a find.Thank you to the owners for opening this space up for people to experience a little piece of heaven on earth.

We really enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was absolutely spotless which was a great asset as we have stayed in things similar before and they have been dusty and unclean. We spoke to the man and the woman and both were lovely. The Little bottle of milk, shampoo, body wash, washing up liquid etc were a wonderful touch. Like other reviews a coffee table would be nice. Only thing I would let others know is the parking is very tight. We nearly came in our VW van and I'm glad we didn't as we wouldn't have fit in the parking space. We went in my Fiat Punto and there was only just enough room. So if you have a big car just be mindful of this. We also thought a sign saying Ivy Lodge would have been good as we drove up and down the lane a few times and ended up knocking on the house asking for directions, as we were unsure which house it was, but it turned out to be the right house. But overall it was a lovely chilled break. Rudyard lake in walking distant. Leek, Buxton the Roaches etc within half an hour. I'm sure we will be back in the summer.

We recently stayed at Ivy Lodge for two nights.
We recently stayed at Ivy Lodge for two nights. Living in a city it was nice to have such peace and quiet! There was no noise or light pollution which made for a relaxing weekend. The Lodge itself was spotless and very well thought out, with everything you need for a few days away.Open plan kitchen and lounge space and a good tv.The bed was very comfortable and we slept well!If we were to stay longer than two nights I would definitely have taken our airfryer for more cooking options, but the microwave and hob were adequate for the time we were there.A small footstool would be nice for the sofa area as we took it in turns to use the corner sofa area for leg rest! The lake is nearby, and whilst the area and very local facilities were not quite as we had thought, this is no reflection on the Lodge. We popped into Leek for drinks and food on the Saturday afternoon, had we stayed longer we probably would have gone further afield. Overall we had a lovely couple of days, thank you.
