Beautiful 18th Century Farmhouse in the Heart of the Peak District
Sleeping up to 9, Lower Farm is a five bedroom, three bathroom, south-facing farmhouse tucked into the hillside with beautiful uninterrupted views across the valley. The farmhouse is one of four farms that make up the hamlet of Brushfield, 10 minutes from Buxton and Bakewell. There are many spectacular walks from the bridleway lane in front of the house, including the Monsal Trail, (with the excellent Monsal Head pub en route), Cressbrook Dale, High Dale and the beautiful River Wye. The house has a small, enclosed lawn and pretty cottage garden, three stone terraces (two south-facing for al fresco eating; one tucked round the back)), front and back crofts, often occupied by some friendly sheep and lambs, and a garage opposite. The layout of the house suits two families particularly well, with each of the upstairs double bedrooms having its own bathroom and bunk bedroom off its own landing. The dining table seats 10 comfortably.

A lovely old farmhouse building in a small hamlet in a beautiful location overlooking the valley. The house is full of character and a lovely place to stay. Very centrally located for Buxton, Bakewell and other towns and villages. Can recommend it.
