Everything you need for a peaceful stay

This is a lovely cosy house. It has been quirkily decorated and well equipped with everything you need for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. The inside stairs to the bedrooms are a bit difficult, but there are outside stairs you can use too. There are good outside spaces which are great in good weather. We're just sad the weather was too cold to make use of the swimming pool.

Magnificent

We had a lovely stay at Gite Marianne, La Bachellerie. The house was very well equipped for all our needs and the owner Aurelien was very kind. We enjoyed visiting nearby towns including Terrason, Montignac, and Sarlat. Terrason was our favourite particularly the Jardin L'Imaginaire - wonderful. We also enjoyed a great lunch at La Mule Blanche just a short walk down the road. Our only caution is that the very steep stair case is probably not suitable for families with young children. Thank you Aurelien for a super duper holiday.

Beautiful gîte in fantastic location

What a great find! Beautifully renovated to a very high standard, fantastic location in a charming village with good boulangerie, small supermarket and tabac. We were overwhelmed by the lovely owner, Aurelien; who went out of his way to ensure our stay was wonderful in every way; including an enormous Christmas tree decorated beautifully, a gift basket of gourmet Dordogne delicacies and Christmas lights. Very special! Our family of four with two teenage sons (15 & 17) had a fabulous stay. Close to many beautiful villages and sights including St Amand de Coly, Montignac, Les Eyzies, Sarlat, Terrasson and St Leon sur Vezere. We highly recommend Maison Marianne for a memorable holiday. La Mason Marianne

What a fantastic place to stay for a number of reasons (6 adults) - score 10/10. The host Aurelien has been fantastic through out the booking process, to the time we left. The villa was booked pre covid and held over for us until Sept 2022. Our host has an excellent understanding of the English language. Communication was easy and immediate when emailing. We received a first class welcome. The villa is beautiful. Set on the outskirts of a small village which you can walk to and an excellent base to explore the Dordogne by car. Exceptionally clean, tidy and well laid out. The decoration through out was in excellent taste. The out door pool was clean and well maintained. The decking area next to it was roomy for relaxing in the sun. Access to the pool area (wooden steps) or to the bedrooms on the first floor via the staircase could be a little tricky if you have mobility issues. I'm sure this is mentioned in the listing and to overcome, access to each from the right hand side of the building is an option. Happy to highly recommend and if returning to the area would definately book again. Having flown into Bordeaux the property is an easy 2hr drive away, non toll road. Many thanks

Nous avons trouvé notre paradis !

Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement par Aurélien ! Sur un petit tableau, il y avait un mot de bienvenue et même un petit cadeau de bienvenue pour nous ! La maison est extrêmement bien entretenue, le jardin est également très bien entretenu et enchanteur. On trouve toujours des petites statues et autres décorations entre les arbres et les buissons. La piscine est très propre et très bien entretenue ! Grâce à un dispositif très bien pensé, on peut très facilement laisser la bâche sur le bassin ou la rentrer. La maison est située dans un endroit très calme, il n'y a presque pas de circulation de véhicules et pas de pollution lumineuse - on peut admirer le ciel étoilé à merveille. L'aménagement de la maison est très bien, il ne manque rien. La maison est aménagée avec beaucoup d'amour. L'internet fonctionnait parfaitement. Nous avons fait de nombreuses excursions. Aurélien nous a donné des conseils pour les excursions et aussi pour les restaurants. Dans la maison, il y a partout des informations sur les excursions. En bref, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour ! Nous nous y sommes tout de suite sentis très à l'aise ! Nous sont tombés amoureux de la maison et de la région et nous reviendrons sans aucun doute ! Merci cher Aurélien !

Superbe séjour dans la maison Marianne ! Aurelien est un hôte très sympathique, qui a rénové et décoré avec goût cette jolie maison. Vous y trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour un séjour en famille. Attention aux escaliers intérieurs mais l astuce de prendre ceux de l extérieur communicant par la Chambre enfant est parfaite :) Pour un séjour reposant, dépaysant et gustativement delicieux, foncez!

Beautiful house

We took our young grandchildren to this house and had a fantastic holiday. Aurelien gave us a great welcome and a tour of the house. The house is perfectly equipped and spacious. The staircase from the lounge is very steep but we used the stairgate and told the kids to always use the outside stairs which lead to the bedrooms. The pool is warm and the pool area is lovely and is a real sun trap in the afternoon and evening. We loved walking into La Bachellerie which is very pretty and the kids loved the play park. Overall we would definitely recommend and would return again.

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour où la nature et le soleil étaient au rendez-vous. Ce qui nous a permis de profiter de la piscine, des repas en plein air et d'une location très fonctionnelle et confortable, aménagée avec goût et dans l'esprit du lieu. Aurélien a su nous accueillir, nous informer, tout était réuni pour profiter au maximum de ce séjour dans une belle région à visiter. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la maison Marianne et ses superbes alentours. Accueil attentionné d'Aurélien (bel éclairage à notre arrivée tardive, le mot de bienvenue sur l'ardoise et les réponses à nos sms !). La maison a du charme, elle est impeccable et décorée avec goût y compris les extérieurs. Il nous a manqué un peu de soleil pour en profiter pleinement ! La cuisine est très bien équipée, rien ne manque. Logement idéal pour passer de bons moments en famille ou entre amis.

Agréables vacances à la m'a Marianne

Nous avons passé d'agréables vacances chez Aurélien qui nous as très bien accueilli et nous saluons sa discrétion car ce n'est pas toujours le cas lorsque les propriétaires demeurent à côté du gite loué. Gîte qui est atypique mais rien ne manque nous étions chez nous !! Belle terrasse ombragée, belle piscine sans de vis-à-vis, que du bonheur !!! Nous espérons y retourner. Famille François du Nord

Geweldig mooi en sfeervol huis

Ontzettend leuk en mooi huis. Is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het eigen zwembad is heerlijk. En beide terrassen hebben mooi uitzicht. Er is een terras in schaduw en een terras in zon. Er is een goed uitgeruste keuken. De eigenaar woont er naast en is attent en gastvrij. Badkamer is ook netjes. Wasmachine mag je gebruiken bij de eigenaar. Wij waren met volwassen kinderen en dan ook ruim genoeg. Nadeel wanneer je er met kleine kinderen komt zouden de trap in woonkamer en de trappen rondom terrassen en zwembad kunnen zijn. Wij hebben genoten van het heerlijke huis en de mooie omgeving!
