Spacious and comfortable holiday home with large swimming pool

Relax in an idyllic setting? The house is located in the Dordogne near the tourist and historic town of Montignac on a beautiful estate of 5,25 acres. The typical Perigordian house is modern and suitable for up to 6 people and one baby.

La Garenne estate includes 2 houses. The front house of the Dutch owners who lives in this home . In addition, they rent the second home as a holiday home to guests. You live in a spacious modern styled house with living room, dining room and kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom, with a veranda lounge and a courtyard with sun loungers. The host and hostess fully respect the privacy of their tenants.

When you arrive you can check in by us, René and Nel. We are the owners of the 2 houses. We use the main house. We believe that privacy is a primary thing.
Our guests have their own house, entrance, terrace and the swimmingpool with lounge area is free for you to use from 10h till 22h.
When our guests have questions about the house and the environment we try to help you.

The Neighborhood
La Garenne is special to the natural beauty and tranquility.
It is 2.5 km from Montignac with shops, bars, restaurants, markets and of course Lascaux, one of the world famous prehistoric caves that the Vallée de la Vézère is rich.
Also visit Sarlat (20 km away), also known as the pearl of the Dordogne.

Getting Around
A motorcycle or car is the best transport
It is possible to cycle and walk, but the hill is steep.
Airport of Bergerac is nearby 1 ,25 hour drive with a car. Airport of Brive is 30 minutes. You can hire cars at the airport.

Lovely and cosy but wonderfully cool on a very hot day

We had a fabulous holiday, a total gem as we’re the owners Nel and Réne. Great accommodation, perfect pool, lovely setting and yet near so many things to do and see. Hoping to return as we all had a great time.

Tres belle maison et environnements

Nous avons adoré cette région. La maison est en pleine nature c est un appel au repos et à la détente. Une superbe piscine qui ravi petit et grand. Ce n'est pas précisé dans l'annonce mais la maison est mitoyenne avec celle des propriétaires qui restent très discret mais tout de même présent. Il est indiqué que c'est une villa de luxe or c'est une très belle maison mais pas une villa de luxe les finitions de la maison ne sont pas à hauteur ( joint de carrelage,carrelage cassé, propreté des extérieur, carrelage autour de la piscine, pas de volet au chambre...) mais pour le prix demandé à la location de cette maison elle vaut totalement le détour. Petit point important il est indiqué dans l'annonce que la piscine est entière disposition or il faut prévenir les propriétaires pour qu'il ouvre la bâche à bulles et qu'il la referme le soir impossible de se baigner de nuit car cela les dérange si cela est trop tard. La maison est très propre très bien équipée et très agréable avec ses deux terrasses à l'ombre ou ensoleillé tranquillité et le mot d'ordre

Excellent accueil des propriétaires. Nous avons eu le plaisir de déguster un gâteau fait par eux! Celui-ci nous attendait à notre arrivée. Le gîte est impeccable, parfaitement propre et bien agencé. Tout les équipements sont présents. L'ensemble est assez haut de gamme. Rénovée dans le style Perigourdin. Grand terrain, immense piscine à 27°. Bar et salle repas d'été à la piscine. Les propriétaires sont à votre écoutes et restent très discret. Tout commerces à Montignac juste à côté. Nous recommandons avec plaisir !

Magnifique maison avec piscine et propriétaires adorables

Rien ne manque ici Très jolie maison parfaitement située pour qui aime le calme , très proche de Montignac / Lascaux Nel et René sont très prévenants , discrets et disponibles Un délicieux gâteau, une non moins délicieuse confiture ( faits maison ) , accompagnés d’un petit rosé bien frais nous attendaient à notre arrivée . La piscine est grande, très bien exposée et parfaitement équipée, avec réfrigérateur , très jolie table abritée du soleil … Nb. Nous sommes des fidèles d’ Abritel , et pouvons vous assurer du caractère exceptionnel de cette demeure

Agréable séjour

Très belle propriété au calme avec une très jolie maison et une grande piscine. Nous avons été séduits par cette belle région (canoë, grottes, gouffres..pleins de belles activités à faire.) Les propriétaires sont des gens charmants, gentils et accueillants. Tout était parfait à notre arrivée avec en plus une boisson (pour les enfants et pour les adultes) et un gâteau au chocolat. Un grand merci à Nel et René pour cette belle semaine de vacances !

séjour reposant en pleine nature

Nous (famille de 5, avec 3 enfants de 13, 10 et 3 ans) avons passé un excellent séjour chez Nel. La maison est très bien aménagée et spacieuse. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le calme de la propriété ainsi que la piscine qui permet de se relaxer et de se rafraichir après une longue journée de visites de cette magnifique région. La proximité avec Montignac est très commode pour les courses et les restaurants. Merci à Nel pour son accueil (des bouteilles fraîches nous attendaient à notre arrivée et aussi un gâteau maison avec les noix du terrain!) et sa disponibilité.

Maison avec piscine privée calme et confortable proche de Montignac. A conseiller sans retenue

La maison est très bien située, dans la partie Nord du périgord noir. En pleine nature et pourtant très proche de Montignac. L'espace de vie à l'intérieur est grand et nous l'avons trouvé très propre et classe. On peut librement profiter de la piscine en toute tranquilité. Selon le moment de la journée on peut choisir l'une des 2 terrasses de la maison A conseiller

Why they chose this property

We wanted to find a place in France, 1 day travel, to go for holidays. A place quiet , but not so far from a nice town. When we visited Dordogne years ago, we find it the most beautiful region of France and decided that we want to buy some property. We find this place on a hillside, with a nice view and it contains two houses, so we can invite friends and family to stay too. In 2007 we bought the property. A lot of guests had stayed here. Everybody loves the house(s) and their surroundings. Montignac a vivid medieval town has all the necessary shops and utilities lies nearby.
