Great location for people who are interested in history. There are lots of sites to visit within 40-50 minutes drive. The weather was mixed but we still managed to swim in the pool every day even though it was unheated. Good range of walks as well.
lovely house and village, check in with Florence, lives locally, the area is beautiful, plenty to see, nice food. the house has plenty of local information, the pool is very nice, large secluded and secure for kids.
The house and pool suited our group just perfectly. The house is well equipped and Florence, caretaker, friendly and helpful. The short walk into the beautiful old village and shop not too long. Nice walks and bike rides on the doorstep.
We are four adults who had a wonderful holiday. The house was perfect, spotlessly clean and had everything that we could posibly need. On arrival we were met by Madame Florence who was very friendly and helpful. The pool was fantastic and as we had such good weather it was used daily. It's very handy having the patisserie and butchers within walking distance and also the small shop/cafe on the main road. We ate at the Hotel a couple of times - wonderful food, a great hostess and a memorable experience, absolutely worth a visit. We have rented often in France but this is by far the best house we have ever stayed at!

House condition
The property is in a lovely friendly village, a good location, however we felt the house is tired especially the kitchen and bathroom need renovation for the price we paid. Lots of cobwebs and ants. We would not recommend it for the price asked.
We stayed one week in condat and had a very good stay. Backyard is big enough to fit our family of six. Perfect pool. Large lawn. Good layout regarding the bedrooms etc.
Only minus I can think of is that the Shower is a bit outdated. But many plusses compensate by far.
Pool and backyard are great, distance to small supermarket, bakery, butcher is perfect (3 min by car)
Distance to big supermarket, and nice towns is around 15 min. (If you go to montignac, take the small road)
We found a nice restaurant at an old water mill (10 min) and much more to do/see within 30 mins from the house.
Extra fridge in the basement is handy for wine and beer or meat. We also made good use of the bbq.
During the evening drinks several owls and bats passed by⊠which we think is super. tnx for having us!
We had a lovely time staying at the property. The house had everything we needed for our stay and the pool was a big hit! The surrounding area was set in fantastic countryside and we also enjoyed kayaking and visiting the medieval towns Sarlat and Domme. The house was very clean and felt safe
Spent a relaxing week in this lovely family house with private pool in a charming village. It felt a privilege to rent this family home for the period.
Beautiful family home on the edge of a peaceful picturesque village. Lovely swimming pool, big garden, house equipped with all you could need for a great holiday. Much to do and see locally. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely rural property, very well situated for exploring the area
My family of five really enjoyed our stay in Magali's property in Condat-sur-Vezere. We found that it was a great base for exploring the region, especially the Dordogne river and chateaux, and the Lascaux Cave, which I would highly recommend., There are lots of markets to explore in nearby towns to purchase local produce. The pool is a great bonus, and there is plenty of room in the garden for ball games outside if your children are lively, like ours. The house is just outside the village gates, which has a tabac, a local butcher and baker within easy walking distance; bigger towns with supermarkets are a short drive away. Two very good restaurants are nearby. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a base to explore the area.

About the host
Hosted by Magali Chabrelie
We are a French family with 3 children (21, 18 and 16)originally from Perigord but living now in the UK since 2005. Given that our parents are getting older we have decided last year to refurbish our family house which was abandoned to spend more time with them. We cannot return too often to France so we have decided to rent the house to make it available to people keen to discover the wonders of this region.
Why they chose this property
This is the house when I was born.
What makes this property unique
This is quite a modern house but very peaceful, extremely well located with a huge garden, great views and a lot of light.
