Take a dip in the large private pool for Turtle Dunes guests, and wander out to the beach, with access just a few steps away on the boardwalk. Turtle Dunes also offers it's own private tennis courts for use by guests.
The larger AIP community is a beloved 1,340-acre paradise that is surrounded by maritime forests, tidal salt marshes and pristine, sandy beaches. Dining, shopping, and spa services are offered at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, located within the AIP.
Golf is also available within the AIP at Oak Marsh and Little Sandy short course. There are multiple other great courses on the island as well. Tee times can be scheduled online.
Nearby, bike and golf carts can be rented to explore the larger community and venture to AIP playgrounds like Drummond Park and Aury Island. Many of our guests enjoy strolling on the beach or along the AIP's miles of shaded walking and biking trails.
For those looking to adventure further afield, the scenic drive north on A1A will take you to the charming Fernandina Beach Historic District, where you can find unique boutiques, shops and dining options. Drive south on A1A to visit coastal nature preserves like Little Talbot Island State Park, known for easy biking, hiking, kayaking, and birding opportunities.
As part of this rental, a custom digital guidebook is provided with thorough property information and our local area guide sharing favorite restaurants, attractions, and more! Excitingly, our guests are also eligible to receive a 15% discount on beach gear rentals.
We look forward to hearing from you and helping you plan your trip to this lovely Amelia Island condo!
*Please be advised this private property is not a rental through the Omni Amelia Island Resort and does not give you access to "resort privileges or amenities” (i.e. the main Omni hotel pool, fitness center or shuttle service), and Racquet Park is limited only to club members and their guests. Sincere thanks for your 5-star review and for sharing these highlights of your stay! While our private property is not officially part of the Omni hotel, we are within the same gated Amelia Island Plantation community that boasts amazing walking/biking trails, playgrounds, lakes, golf courses, shops, and more (like the restaurants you mention.) Yes, we too love the Sea Turtle pool that this complex gives guests access to! There's just so much to love about this location and we're glad you were able to enjoy it. We hope you will return to be our guest again soon!
Loved this property and plan to return. Destination Amelia was also great to work with and will book through them again.

Thanks so much for being our guests. We truly enjoyed hosting you and hope you will choose to stay with us again!
Wonderful first time stay on Amelia Island. The location was perfect- right on the beach! Our 7yo daughter was on the beach for sunrise each morning. The private beach was not crowded at all throughout the day-we were there over Easter weekend. The pool was nice to have as well. Not far from restaurants and the grocery store. There are little shops near by as well. The condo is well kept and clean. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for our family of 3. Check in was super easy. The management company was very responsive and sent a lot of helpful info the week leading up to the stay. When I had questions they emailed back quickly. There was an island wide Xfinity problem for a few hours so internet was out. And while management couldnt do anything to help that, they were very responsive to questions and sent regular updates as they got information. We had a lovely stay and look forward to returning!

We are so glad you found our condo to be spacious, comfortable, and perfectly located to the beach, pool, and nearby attractions. Yes, there are so many things to explore on our island - there's always another reason to return! Hopefully you can come again soon to explore even more! We'd be delighted to welcome you back!
Property was nice. Beautiful view. Pool was excellent. Found a few items in kitchen that didn’t look like they were cleaned thoroughly. Could use a bit more silverware. Would definitely stay again.

Our team was able to assess those items and as a reminder, we're always within reach if you need anything during your stay. We hope you come back soon!
This our 2nd time staying in a Turtle Dunes condo and it’s starting to feel like our home away from home. This unit was perfect for our family and was exactly as advertised. We will definitely be back and we will try to plan our trip around this units availability. Great Property!

Thanks again for being our guest! We're glad to hear you found the condo to be beautiful and you had a great stay overall! Our team is sorry to hear that you felt the beds were uncomfortable and we passed that feedback along to the owners. It was the first time we received that input. As for the linens, we're happy to share our Destination Amelia team has launched a new partnership with a luxury linen service!
Wonderful property at Omni, but vacation was marred by cherry picker lift parked between condo and ocean all week. At times it was operated and made the beep beep sound, giving me a headache. When I complained, I was given a discount.

Thanks again for being our guest! We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our property and the private Amelia Island Plantation community that it is situated in. Unfortunately, we were not alerted to this exterior maintenance taking place by the complex and were not able to better prepare you, but we were happy to issue a significant refund to show how much we care about your experience and wished to better this frustrating situation. Thanks for your understanding and we hope you will consider staying with us again in the future!
Very clean, well stocked, great location.
This was the best stocked unit we have ever rented. Beach chairs, beach toys, kitchen had everything we needed; including a blender!
Location is great. 2nd story is high enough for unobstructed beach view, and view of pool too. Easy boardwalk stroll to beach. From front door to beach was only a minute walk total.
Bedrooms were spacious. Enough room in both bedrooms for a pack 'n play to comfortably fit between bed and the wall, with enough room to walk around it too.

Fantastic! We are happy you thoroughly enjoyed our oceanfront condo and we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share all this great feedback with other travelers. We hope you will return next time you are visiting our beautiful island!
We did enjoy our stay at the property. It did have more kitchen items than most places we stay, which was appreciated. I loved the cookbooks and other reading material available. The condo itelf had a bit of an odor. Not bad, but like my grandmother's house perhaps. We bought some candles which helped. The tvs are very small in the bedroom. The OMNI resort is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your review! We are happy that you found the kitchen to be well-equipped; we do try to make sure guests have all that they need for meal preparation. Upon looking into the issue of the odor, we realized that the unit had been closed for about a week prior to your arrival. We apologize and have made a note to freshen up the unit when there has been a gap between guest reservations. We sincerely appreciate your feedback, and hope you will visit us again soon!
Wonderful trip, and great experience at Turtle Dunes. We stayed on the top floor last year and chose the second floor this year to save money. For the price, this place did not disappoint. We still had a great view of the beach and all the amenities of the Omni resort! The condo came well equipped and was very comfortable. i had a mix up with our check out date and the realty company was easy to contact and happy to extend our stay one more day. Highly recommend! Highly recommend the wood fired dinner at the Marche cafe on the weekend.

Thanks for choosing to stay with us for your trip to Amelia Island! We are overjoyed you enjoyed your stay and found the condo to be comfortable with all that you needed for time at the beach. Our Destination Amelia team tries to stay readily available to address any guest needs and we were happy to extend your stay by one day! We appreciate the high recommendation and hope to have you back to visit again!
Nicely appointed unit with good furnishings and accessories. Excellent view. Very pleased with overall experience. The only fly in the ointment was some mold that had accumulated in the nozzle of the kitchen faucet which was sloughing off into the water. Would have gone undetected had I not noticed black flecks in my glass of water. I cleaned off the head by soaking in detergent and kitchen cleaner. Meant to bring to the attention of management but forgot. Only mentioning here so that management is aware and can resolve the issue. My stay overall was very enjoyable and I recommend this unit and the management company.

Thank you for submitting your feedback after your stay! We were very glad to see you were pleased overall with your experience. Our operations team did immediately address that kitchen faucet nozzle to make sure it was in good standing, and appreciate you letting us know. We invite you to reach out to our Destination Amelia office whenever an unexpected issue arises. We will gladly stop by as soon as possible to take care of any maintenance needs! We'll look forward to hosting you at our Destination Amelia Vacation Rentals again soon!
The property's location is great. I think Turtle Dunes is the best building on the plantation. They installed a huge icemaker in the bar area and that was an awesome discovery for us. That said, in this unit the kitchen supplies were skimpy. Only 2 proper wine glasses, just a few plates, etc. Enough for 4 people but be prepared to wash dishes every night. Dishwasher is in hospice care, just waiting for that inevitable day. Bedroom TV remotes batteries dead. Mosquitos in the unit, got lots of bug bites - I imagine the prior guests left doors open. Bring Raid. Clogged sink in master bath - tried unsuccessfully to fix it. Dining room table nicknamed the leaning table of pizza. Beautiful Cerwin-Vega sound system (but not working). All in all, a pretty good unit in a great location if only they'd solve a few neglected items.

We appreciate you taking the time to share about your experience so we could address any areas of concern, however we wish you would have alerted our team early on in your stay so we could have had an opportunity to fix and replace any items for you. It's no problem at all for our operations team to drop off remote batteries and even extra wine glasses and dishware. We have since addressed the kitchen table and dishwasher, and on our inspection there were no more mosquitos within the condo that we saw, so no bug spray necessary. We are glad to hear that overall you had a good visit and loved visiting Turtle Dunes! Thanks again for your input and for being our guest!
This is our third summer coming to Amelia Island staying at the Omni plantation. This has been our favorite property so far! It was so clean! The second floor view was beautiful and the short distance to the pool and beach was perfect! It was nicely decorated but not overdone. It had everything we needed and we would definitely stay here again! It was our own little paradise at the end of the Omni Plantation property with plenty of room at the pool and beach.

Property manager needs help
Our property was great and the location was excellent. The property managers were very little help with beach reconstruction going on. We have never been to that part of Florida and looked for guidance, I had to call the construction manager for help. If I owned the property I would get a property manager to better represent me. I would stay again but not through that group. After speaking with other renters we heard the same story

We appreciate your honest feedback, although of course, we are surprised and disappointed to see your negative comments about your experience with our team. Our Destination Amelia office team is always ready to answer any questions and we wish you would have reached out. The beach renourishment project was out of our control for the month or so it was impacting our beach area, and the timeline was constantly shifting, but we were always ready to work with our guests and our rates were priced with the work in mind. We trust other travelers will look through our previous reviews, which note how our management team "was always available" and is "very responsive" when weighing your comments.
