MONTHLY RENTAL: Requires a minimum stay of 28 nights occurring within the same month. Stay a month and live like a local!

THE PROPERTY: This home’s white picket fence and rocking chair front porch beckon you to come inside. Explore the uniqueness of this updated property including its location in Bahama Village, private pool, and pool house.

As you enter your vacation home, enjoy the open concept living room, kitchen, and dining area. In addition, there is a built-in work station for homework or working from home. The kitchen has plenty of storage, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a peninsula for entertaining. Through the kitchen you will find the relaxing primary bedroom. Here you may slumber in the queen bed, watch TV, or enjoy a delightful book in the reading chair. The main bathroom is updated and includes a shower/tub combination in pumpkin onyx tile as well as a single vanity with granite countertop. Built-in storage drawers are conveniently located just outside the main bath. Exit from the primary bedroom to the backyard pool area.

The cocktail pool is perfect for cooling off after a day on Duval Street. The outdoor shower will not only rinse you off after a swim but can serve as your pool house guest’s shower. The fenced backyard area is comfortably furnished with a dining set and umbrella for dining poolside. A gas grill is provided for the chef in your family. Natural light, air conditioning, ceiling fans and hardwood floors add to the comfort of this home away from home. Come immerse yourself in the charm of Key West from this 1923 ‘shotgun’ style home!

BED CONFIGURATION: There is a queen bed in the main house and a queen sleeper sofa in the pool house.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES: There is a cocktail pool with marble-like trim just off the covered back porch. The pool is heated seasonally (November through April) for an additional fee which will be assessed at the time of booking. The deck is furnished with a dining table, chairs, and umbrella as well as a gas grill and outdoor shower. Don’t forget to do a little people watching from your front porch!

PARKING: No designated parking spot. On-street parking available in the neighborhood.

LOCATION: Historic Old Town, in Bahama Village south of Truman Ave, between the Southernmost Point and the Hemingway House. The area features beautiful historic cottages and quiet tree lined streets. Walkable to several shops, restaurants, and the community pool.

They provided everything we needed and were responsive to messaging. The outdoor shower was the only letdown as there was almost no pressure and no cold water supply making showers largely not possible. I trust they will remedy that soon. I would highly recommend the property.

I hate to tell you what a Gem this property is.

First I gave 4 stars for the property description because the property has been updated and has new furniture. Next we loved the location of this little house on a quiet street with nice neighbors. Next the Property management was awesome and the people they hired to do the property maintenance were equally as good. The house was spotless as well as the pool was kept clean weekly if not more. I hate to tell anyone because I would love to return. Thank you for a very nice stay.

This darling house is perfect for a couple - with a charming front porch to witness the sunrise and a covered rear patio to enjoy the sunset. The house was clean and well stocked with ‘starter’ supplies. Plus, there is a cozy ‘guest house’ in the rear that offers a kitchenette plus a half bath - perfect for anyone who enjoys even more quietude. The folks at HKWV are simply THE BEST! If you need anything, they are always available to make suggestions or offer solutions. We’ll def be back!!

The management company does a great job on following up with any issues.

This cottage is perfectly adequate for two people and most everything we needed was provided. The cutlery could use an update but that’s a small matter. The kitchen area can only handle one person working (cooking, cleaning etc.) but we adjusted to that. All in all this cottage is comfortable, in a great location with wonderful breezes and easy access to all KW has to offer. One of the best parts of the experience was working with the eminently professional Historic KW Rentals group. They outshine the competition.

The main house offered a fully equipped Kitchen with dishwasher, a full size washer and dryer, an updated bathroom, a phenomenally comfortable bed and lots of closet space! But the special treat was the Guest Cottage! It allowed us to enjoy some ‘private time’ - reading, watching TV or enjoying the mini-kitchen which included a compact refrigerator/freezer, microwave and coffee maker. The house also features a covered, front porch with rocking chairs (ideal for watching the sun-rise) and a covered, rear porch which overlooks the mini-pool - with jets!The location is ideal - a quiet neighborhood and yet only a few blocks from lively Duval Street. There is also a free bus that runs continually around town - THE DUVAL LOOP - and the bus stop is 2 blocks from Copa Cabana. If you are staying in town, a car is not really necessary. If you plan to scoot around the other Keys, there is on-street parking. The folks at HISTORIC KEY WEST VACATIONS were delightful - and checked in regularly to see that we were enjoying our stay. This home was the perfect HOME AWAY FROM HOME. We hope (& pray) we can return next year!
