Hen Ffermdy is a perfect romantic hideaway, ideal for honeymoons, a couples break or just an escape to the country. Situated near Llanon in Ceredigion, this rural retreat is a charming home from home. This stylish eco-friendly cottage is a former farmhouse, converted into a comfortable and spacious detached cottage which demonstrates sustainability and comfort can go hand in hand.
The mezzanine ensuite bedroom is reached by spiral staircase entwined with fairy lights. For added nostalgia, there is a working 1950s radiogram complete with LP collection (but feel free to bring your own vinyl records for a spin). This really is a special property. Hen Ffermdy is situated just 15 minutes away from the beautiful Georgian town of Aberaeron with its excellent harbour and many cafes, bars and restaurants.
Aberaeron has a good selection of independent food shops - butcher, bakery, fishmonger, deli and supermarket and an indoor market every Saturday. Head for the harbour in the evening to watch the sunset over Cardigan Bay - along with sampling Aberaeron's famous honey ice cream and some of the best fish and chips in the area.
