Thanks to its central location, Rafael Home is well-connected to public transportation. The train stations of Como San Giovanni and Como Lago are both within walking distance, offering connections to Milan and Switzerland. Ferries from Como's port depart regularly to visit towns along Lake Como.

For those arriving by car, it is recommended to park in public paid areas outside the pedestrian zone, as the apartment is not accessible by car. Taxis and buses are easily available in the area.

To explore Como’s historic center, it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes, as many streets are pedestrian-only and cobblestone-paved.

Como offers several public drinking fountains. Tap water is also safe to drink.

During the summer, ferries are an excellent way to discover the picturesque villages along the lake, such as Bellagio and Varenna.

One of the most scenic hikes is to Brunate, accessible by funicular, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake.

Many shops and businesses close during lunch breaks, so plan your shopping accordingly.
