Nearby: WI river, ATV road usage, fishing, tubing, canoeing, water sports 10 min away. trout fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, wine tasting tours, historic towns and sights. The 2150 square foot home boasts a fireplace enhanced by a 2 story rock faced chimney, an expansive wrap-around porch, a master suite, and a generous great room. The acreage is mostly wooded with about 8 acres open.

Great getaway

Great place to stay. Secluded, quiet and very relaxing. Saw deer, rabbits and squirrels during the day and heard the owls at night. Very impressed with host communications. Highly recommend and we will return again.

Best family trip

The cabin itself was so beautiful, it was definitely a well needed trip to get away from the city! And there’s so much land for the kids to run around in! Everyone had their own bed!!! And it’s like an hr away from Wisconsin Dells which was amazing as well! Overall one of the best cabins I have gone to! Super clean! Little to no bugs at all! And there’s something there for everyone to do! We definitely be coming back!

Family getaway

A fabulous getaway for our family. Beautiful log home and property, lots of space for 5 adults, had everything we needed. It was a cold weekend but the house was cozy and warm. We enjoyed a fire in the outdoor fire pit and explored some of the property. Great communication by the host, pleasant and friendly.

Summer Cabin Family Fun

This cabin experience was spectacular. The cabin itself is beautiful & the property is breathtaking. My wife & I had such a great time with our adult sons & daughter in law. We had fires in the fire pit, bbq’d several times, read books. Went shopping & dined in nearby cities. It was wonderful.

A wonderful Wisco retreat

My group had a fantastic stay at the Driftless Escape. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, and updated with modern amenities while feeling rustic and cozy. Dan was a helpful host and a thorough communicator which made check in and check out a breeze. Bonus points because he’s a music lover. We truly can’t say enough good things about this space- hope to be back again someday soon!

A slice of paradise

This is a great place to truly get away from the day to day grind. The home is located in a valley full of all kinds of birds. I have never seen so many in one location at the same time. Overall the atmosphere was very tranquil, and the house provided the perfect resting spot. The kitchen utensils were adequate as we cooked at least 85% of our meals at the home. The beds were very comfortable.

Great Winter Weekend!

We had a great weekend at the cabin this winter. It’s a great place for hiking and sledding, and we spent a great deal of time outside, even had a fire in the fire pit so the kids could roast hotdogs for lunch after building snow forts in the valley across the stream. The cabin had everything we needed and was just as beautiful as the pictures. Very clean and plenty of space. Dan was communicative and answered all my questions before we got there. We will definitely be back!

Quiet Getaway

We were looking for a short getaway before the kids went back to school- Our first priority was somewhere we could take our dogs with us and second- somewhere not to far of a drive for us- This place fit the bill perfectly. The cabin itself was charming with a perfect touch of modern and quaint. The property was perfect for my beagle to wander and sniff all things nature. We even saw three deer one morning. Not much to do around the area but we spent our time connecting as a family, playing games, reading and just hanging out. The host was responsive and provided clear instructions. We enjoyed the Driftless Escape!

Cozy, with lots of room to move around

What a great place! All the amenities we could have asked for. The cabin was warm and cozy for our Thanksgiving get away. We were disappointed that we came when it was so cold, as we would have loved to sit on that fabulous wrap a round porch! It was so serene even though it was so close to town. Dan is a great communicator, and that is always so helpful. We loved having the great room. It would be an awesome place to bring kids. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Loved having a full bath and master on each floor. The Bonus was being able to bring the dog! Thanks Dan, for everything!

I give it a 10 out of 10! I read all the reviews and almost all were 10 out of 10. So i was a little skeptical because I've had some bad experiences in the past at other places. I would recommend this property to anyone. It was a great short stay and look forward to going back

Spring- If you enjoy trout fishing, Spring is the time for you! The spring hatches keep the fish biting all day!

Summer - secluded, pure driftless beauty all to yourself within 2 valleys and 3 hills surrounding you. Outcroppings untouched by the ice age are abundant. NO mosquitos thanks to the well drained landscape as you sit by the fire.

Fall- My personal favorite season in the Driftless! Beautiful fall colors to surround you during your stay! As well as Wineries and Orchards cooking up the year's harvest!

Winter - With snow, the views are breathtaking. Cross country ski, snowshoe, sledding - have a blast!
