The Sylvan Cabin w/small lake - @MillCreekCabinsWI

More than just a cabin, this spacious 3,000 sq. ft. home is located on a small private lake in the Richland Center area. The Sylvan Cabin at Mill Creek Cabins features antique décor, locally sourced materials, and handmade wooden furniture that give it the warm, rustic feel you expect from a cabin. The main floor is well lit by the large picture windows overlooking the water. The open floor plan leaves no shortage of space for entertaining on the main floor. If you do find yourself needing more space a second living room is located on the ground level!

The full kitchen includes a large rustic farm-style table, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, and coffee maker are available for your use. Cupboards are stocked with all the pots, pans, silverware, and utensils you might need. The master bedroom is in the loft and features a king-sized bed and a private bathroom. On the main level, there are two queen-sized bedrooms that share the main bathroom. The bottom level has a living room, kitchenette, bathroom, door leading outside, and two more bedrooms. One with two single beds and another with a bunk bed.

Build a sandcastle, catch some rays on the beach, or take a dip in fresh flowing water! The beach and dock are reserved for guests of the Sylvan Cabin only. All fishing on the lake is catch and release only, but public access to a trout stream is located across the road with additional streams just minutes away.

Your escape is closer than you think! The property is located about an hour from Madison, and approximately 3 hours from Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and the Chicago area.

The Sylvan Cabin is part of Mill Creek Cabins, LLC and there may be other guests on the property during your stay.

Great Family Gathering

What a beautiful property- so quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed our time together with our family and had plenty of room to spend time together or spread out. We enjoyed the fire pit and large table for gathering and playing games. We look forward to returning again! The hosts were accessible by email and text and responded quickly to our questions.

We had a blast! The cabin was absolutely beautiful and was perfect for our family. A lot of things to do and we were so comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation spot!

Great family vacation

Our family (6 adults and 2 small children) enjoyed a wonderful week staying at the Sylvan cabin in Richland Center. Having plenty of communal and private space was essential, and this property offered it. The cabin and grounds were clean and well-maintained. We appreciated the secluded, quiet scenic setting. We brought kayaks which we utilized on the small pond. Catch and release fishing was done on the dock and from the kayaks. Unfortunately, swimming or beach use was not possible due to algae covering much of the pond. We utilized the large outdoor fire pit a number of times, as well as the gas grill. Our family visited Cave of the Mounds, House on the Rock, an aquatic center and bowling alley in Richland Center, and a local winery and brewery during our stay. Overall, I would highly recommend this property.

Simply beautiful

We took an extended weekend with 3 other couples. The "cabin" was so spacious that we never felt like there were 8 of us there. Loved the huge fire pit and just sitting on the pier listening to the water.
