Quiet charming apartment, ideally situated.

The apartment:
This very bright and quiet apartment overlooks the interior gardens.
Located in a beautiful 19th century building, it has kept the charm of old: fireplace, original tiled floor and high ceilings.
The library reflects my eclectic literary taste and you will feel in this peaceful location a peaceful atmosphere, yet in the heart of Marseille.
It is an ideal place to discover or rediscover the city and its cultural flowering and find it quiet.

The situation:
Close to the metro Castellane place with a 5 minute walk (station 'Castellane' and 'Our Lady of Mount', 1 stop from st Charles station, lines 1 and 2).

The environment :
The area is very nice, near the Cours Julien, with its restaurants, cafes, and booksellers, the Prado market, every day, and its organic market on Wednesdays. The Old Port is a 15-minute walk away. Small theaters, opera and other cultural venues goods are 2 steps.

Parking : private parking can be rent for 15€ per night. It is located 5 mn walk from the apartment.

The flat was perfect for us, an easy walk to town or metro, lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. It overlooks a courtyard and is very quiet at night. Noel's flat is very personal and we enjoyed it very much. Marseille is a great city to visit, lots to do and very friendly people.

Adorable appartment in fantastic neighbourhood

The appartment was cosy. It had a good quiet airconditioning. It was very complete and we could use everything. The owner was very kind and accesible. The neighboorhood was full of nice places to eat or have a drink. And it was not far from the metro although the most places we wanted to visit were on walking distance. In short: we had a perfect stay! Thank you Noël

Perfect base for weekend in Marseille

Small and perfectly formed apartment in the heart of Marseille. Everything required to hand. Noel was a kind and marvelous host, top class communication. If you're looking for exceptional value and a base in Marseille with much more character and individuality than a hotel, you can't go wrong here. Marseille is an absolutely fantastic city too. Das Appartement liegt zentrumsnahe, ist dennoch ruhig und hat Charme. Fast alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Metrostation ist nicht weit entfernt. Für zwei Personen vollkommen ausreichend. Der "fehlende Komfort" ist absolut kein Mangel. Der Vermieter ist nett und hilfsbereit. Für ältere Herrschaften ist die Lage in der 2. Etage ohne Fahrstuhl vielleicht etwas beschwerlich.

Communication with owner was brilliant, allowed early access, showed my round. If you want all mod cons this is not for you. It is a lovely slice of French life, one main living room/bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and wc kind of outside the main bit (on like a balcony) Kitchen has just about all you need, bed was comfy, shower has no wall fixing to its a hand held job. Very close to Castellane and its excellent transport links. Only suitable for single traveller or 1 couple. Thank you Noel, I loved it

Idéal pour un couple

L'appartement est très bien situé, à quelques minutes à pieds des transports en commun (bus, métro et tram). La climatisation est également très appréciable par forte chaleur. Mr Castinel nous accueille très chaleureusement et a un grand sens de l'hospitalité. A recommander pour un couple séjournant à Marseille.

Cet appartement de charme au calme en plein Marseille est idéalement situé et est en tout point conforme à l'annonce. Noël est très sympathique et sait remarquablement bien accueillir ses hôtes. De plus, il est de très bon conseil. La possibilité de louer un parking fermé est un plus. Nous recommandons fortement cette location.

L'appartement de noël est à son image : charmant et accueillant. Il est situé dans un quartier tranquille et commerçant du 6eme arrondissement. L'appartement est très bien décoré avec une bibliothèque immense de livres ; des meubles anciens, charmante cuisine avec tomettes et tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner. L'appartement est rès calme, il a une vue magnifique sur le jardin de l'immeuble et ceux des immeubles adjacents : c'est un vrai havre de paix à 10 mns du centre ville avec le métro et le tram à 5 mns à pied.

The True France

A fantastic little home away from home. Live were the French live and feel like a local. Be ready though to lug the luggage up some windy steps to the second floor. Terrific location . Use the trams and a day pass for E5.20 to go every where. Look out for the local vendors, cheese shops and pastry at Castellane stop.

Wonderful week in Marseille!

Wonderful, very french apartment, absolutely individual with everything you need. Walking distance to the citycenter, metro, tram and busses, to shops, restaurants and the Vieux Port. It's easy to visit cities nearby like Aix, La Ciotat, Cassis... Great and very friendly support from Noel. We would come back, thanks a lot for "a home" in a foreign city ;)

Excellent rapport qualité-prix

L'appartement a l'avantage de se trouver à proximité du centre-ville tout en étant au calme. Il se situe dans un immeuble du XIXe siècle bien entretenu. La rue n'est pas très fréquentée et le logement donne sur une grande cour intérieure verdoyante sans aucun bruit. Le propriétaire est très accueillant et arrangeant. Comme il s'agit de son propre appartement, qu'il loue lorsqu'il n'est pas à Marseille, il est très bien décoré et équipé, notamment à la cuisine. Tout le linge de maison est fourni et il est possible d'utiliser librement la connexion à Internet. A deux rues de là se trouve la place Castellane avec ses nombreuses lignes de transport en commun (métros et bus) et ses commerces (supermarchés, boulangeries, boutiques, restaurants, etc.).

Accueil sympathique de Noël. L'appartement est très joli - plafonds hauts, vieilles cheminées, tomettes - bien agencé et décoré avec goût. Il est situé dans une rue calme avec vue sur des jardins, ce qui le rend lumineux et agréable. Il permet un accès aisé à pied vers l'hyper centre et est proche de la station de métro Castellane. Bref, nous le recommandons vivement!
