Amazing

We loved the property. The view and accessibility to the beach and trails was excellent. The cottage was well equipped and nicely decorated. We would stay again! We absolutely loved the terrace and view of the ocean and cliffs.

We couldn't have wished for a better location. Quick and easy access to local towns and amenities. Great restaurants within walking distance. Lots to do and see. The home is well equipped with all you need. Beds are very comfortable! Thank you for the great stay

The views from house were breathtaking!! The house is a good size for two families. Loved , loved , loved all the views from the family room and kitchen windows. Great location to the caves with lots of hiking trails. I will definitely be back !!!

Beautiful Benagil

The Benagil Beach Bungalow was a perfect house and location for myself, husband and two young adult sons. The surroundings were lively at the start of the day and then quiet by night. It had a unique layout however functional and full of amenities. The back bedroom could use updated beds and bedding, although the overall home was comfortable. It was very convenient to restaurants, boating, swimming and hiking.

Great Property!

This a terrific property in a prime location. It has everything a family needs to have a great vacation in the Algarve. The property manager was exceptionally helpful and reassuring when it appeared that we may have to stay longer. Perhaps the only thing that could be improved are the mattresses on the beds. We would certainly return.

Benagil Beach dream (if you don’t mind noise)

Our traveling party was 2 couples, late 40s, in moderate shape. Be aware this location is definitely NOT handicap accessible, and requires lugging luggage up (or down) many steps, no matter which way you go. I wish there had been better instructions for how to get to the property,

Amazing home! perfect view.

We travelled all the way to Benagil from the United States primarily because of how beautiful this view and home are. Athe reality exceeded our expectations. With 40 feet of private balcony, a short staircase directly to the beach and a thoughtfully decorated home, our vacation was amazing. The location couldn’t be better. Very highly recommended. We rent vacation homes frequently and this one is a good value and one of our very favorites.

Amazing time in Benagil

We visited in mid June and had a great time. The view was amazing. We enjoyed laying out on the patio and watching the action on the beach below. The beach was busy during the day (10 am to 8 pm) but quiet in the mornings and at night. For us, that was the best of both worlds. There are a three or four restaurants within walking distance but you will have to drive for the grocery store. There is a lot of walking up and down. The apartment was immaculate and the hosts were very organized. Check in process was easy.

Busy spot.

The beach was very busy during the day with bumping music beginning at 9am. No privacy on deck. People walk onto deck thinking it’s the walking trail between beaches. A good spot for young adults. Pictures make it look remote and private, it’s beautiful but very public and busy. Also, no actual access to caves from beach level.

Best view in Benagil!

This charming cottage is right on the beach, which you will pretty much have to yourself in the early morning and evenings/nights. It was also quiet all day on the Sunday we were there. The patio is stunning. There are fantastic restaurants so close you can see them from your patio. You are about at the half-way point on the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, an easy walk to Praia de Marinha (1/2 hour tops). We were always able to find free parking just above the cottage. It is a STEEP walk on stairs and pavement both down to the beach and up to the parking but well worth it if you can manage it.

Beautiful home

We loved our stay at Benagil. The home was amazing, the views astounding, the location perfect for a six-day getaway. The home was clean, bright, comfortable and well maintained and my wife was particularly fond of the heated floors during our early spring stay. It was good that we rented a car so that we could keep the fridge stocked, but we availed ourselves of the many outstanding restaurants nearby. We should note that because the house is perched along a walkway down the cliffs, we often found morning hikers sharing the porch for a moment or two, until they understood it was a private residence.

Absolutely wonderful house

We have enjoyed the stay very much. The house and the equipment is perfect. The Location just amazing. The beach is nevertheless completly overcrowded, but sitting on the terrace and looking down is a good feeling. We have enjoyed especially the qiet morning hours and the evenings. Unfortunately they started cleaning the beach and the square with motor vacuum cleaners very early every day (sometimes already at 3-4 o‘clock at night). Other then that just great impressions!

beautiful location

Wonderful location right on the beach. House layout was somewhat awkward regarding sleeping arrangements for 3 children, as the second double bedroom is located quite far away from the living room sofa bed. House is well equipped, though lighting in bathrooms could definitely be improved. Parking is provided a short walk away in the village, but we got used to the steps to the house. The terrace is such a beautiful place to enjoy outdoor meals and the bbq was great. Overall an amazing setting and very peaceful when we visited in May. The property manager, Mena, was very helpful and pleasant.

Cliffs of Algarve

The walking trail that passes adjacent to this cottage is spectacular as is the view and amazing local seafood. This cottage itself is lovely and faces beautiful cliffs and a beach (that was unfortunately covered in seaweed during the entire week we stayed.) What we didn’t realize is that this beach is a busy tourist and hiker stop and when outside there is no privacy. Mattresses could use upgrading and parking is an issue. Overall enjoyed our stay but would pick another home next time.

perfect setting for a romantic getaway

incredible location, simply world beating. the property itself is a little quirky and too big for just 2 adults i guess. if there were more then the sleeping arrangements would be a bit of a challenge too due to the nature of the property. That said, still nicely decorated and well fitted. Make sure you get your Uber account set up before you go as you will need it if yuou dont have a car.

Perfect location

The perfect place for a stay in the Algarve. The house was perfect for us 5, very spacious and clean, perfectly equipped with everything we needed. The view from the terrace is wonderful, especially in the evening when the sun goes down and the rocks turn a deep orange. Parking on the public parking lot a few 100m away is no problem, you can stop at the bottom of the bay to load/unload. Thus the suitcases and the purchases do not have to be carried so far. The support by the agency was exemplary, very friendly and with very short reaction times (thanks Mena!).

Magical experience

The house is literally built right into a sea cliff. The ocean crashes beneath the patio / deck. The beach is very private in the evenings. The house is beautifully decorated and appointed. The cons: There is no onsight parking.; you must park above and lug your things down. Also, the beds are not very comfortable. That being said, I am so happy to have had the opportunity to stay here.

Almost too good to be true!

Pure magic. I told my husband that I thought this listing had to be fake because for the price, right ON THE BEACH, 3BR 2BTH, absolute perfection. This beach bungalow is in the side of a cliff at the very edge of Benagil. Overlooking the famous beach and facing ocean with cliff face, it could not be more picturesque. The house was perfect for family because it is narrow with no hall across bedrooms but the trade off of the unique, super special location is no contest. Only ask I would have for hosts is please leave a little coffee to at least get guests through a morning or two to find groceries. Walking to coffee, ice cream and at least four restaurants including Algar which was as good as any five star we’ve dined at. Best view and most special location I’ve ever stayed anywhere in the world.
