Villa Crista Romana is a beautiful classic Portuguese villa with outstanding panoramic views of the coastline. Sleeping 9 in the main house with the option to also rent the cottage adjacent to the villa to sleep an additional 4 people.


Set on an elevated site of 2.5 acres with mature gardens, this elegant, spacious villa nestles into the hillside above Meia Praia beach on the east side of Lagos. A beloved family home for 40 years, this wonderful property is now being made available for rental.

The villa includes a very large living and dining room which opens out into a dining terrace overlooking the pool and garden. Outside there are several terraces affording numerous seating options from small to large tables, comfortable seating and occasional chairs. There is a gas barbecue, and around the pool area are sun loungers and parasols.

The well-equipped kitchen includes 2 dishwashers, 2 fridges, a large electric oven and gas top range, and the laundry room has 2 washing machines.

The main house has four good-sized bedrooms, all air conditioned with doors leading out onto a south facing terrace and providing panoramic ocean views. There are two large double bedrooms, both ensuite, with super king beds. Both rooms have a safes. There are also 2 twin rooms that share a bathroom, with bath and shower over, as well as sharing a separate shower room. In addition to the 4 principal bedrooms, there is a small single bedroom with air conditioning next to the master bedroom.


There is an adjoining cottage, which can sleep up to 4 people at an additional cost. The cottage has two bedrooms one double and one twin. Both bedrooms are served by a shared bathroom and there is a small kitchenette and a terrace as well. Please note only the double bedroom has air-conditioning and the cottage can only be reserved for additional guests and cannot be rented separately.


There is ample parking outside over 2 car parks.

The historic seafaring town of Lagos lies at the heart of the Western Algarve, sheltered by the Ponta da Piedade with its amazing rock formations and hidden caves, enjoyed by boat trip or coastal cliff walk. From here, in the great age of discoveries, Portugal's famous explorers set sail. Although now a lively and bustling town with an award winning marina and many cafes, unique shops, bars and some superb quality restaurants, Lagos retains the gentle atmosphere that is characteristic of Portugal and its people, providing a delightful insight into Portuguese life.

Meia Praia beach is the largest beach in the Lagos region with a 4km stretch of golden sand from Lagos Marina on the western side all the way to the Odiáxere River mouth on the eastern side. Unlike the extensive tourist development found elsewhere in the Algarve, Meia Praia manages to maintain a very low-key atmosphere with lovely beach cafes and restaurants dotted along the edge. The western end is supervised by lifeguards during the summer, and beach loungers and parasols can be hired for the day. The area is a popular centre for water sports including wind surfing, kite surfing and jet skiing - equipment can be rented and lessons provided.
