Escape to this characterful family-friendly cottage on the North Devon Coast which welcomes one dog and you''ll be in an ideal location to explore the history, heritage and beautiful scenery of Appledore. You''ll be charmed by the original features found throughout this property, from the fireplaces to the stained glass windows which are paired with modern updates to ensure a relaxing stay for all who visit. For a day out to the beach, you''ll find the seaside village of Westward Ho! just 2 miles away with water sports, amusements and ice cream ensuring something for all ages.
Upon arrival, you can get cosy in the living room which is decorated in earthy tones with a large weather sofa and an armchair inviting you to kick back and relax. You can even light up the wood burner on a winter evening for extra warmth. The kitchen has a lovely country style with pretty tiles and plenty of surface area for preparing meals having been cleverly designed to utilise the space. Meals can be served up in the elegant dining table which has a gothic feel, also benefitting from a wood burner. Upstairs on the first floor are two bedrooms featuring a single bed with a trundle if requested, and a double which is simply styled. The second floor is home to the master bedroom, featuring a sumptuous king-size bed with a fantastic ceiling window with beautiful views of the village. From the kitchen, you can access the quaint, private patio area.
Make the most of your time on the coast with a visit to some of North Devon''s finest sands, including Instow (5 miles), Saunton (18 miles) and Croyde (20 miles), all of which allow dogs all year around. Active adventurers may wish to pay a visit to the North Devon Wake Park (11 miles), home to an inflatable Aquapark, wakeboarding lessons and more. For a leisurely afternoon, why not visit the serene gardens of RHS Rosemoor? With an array of carefully curated gardens, play areas and cafes you can easily enjoy a full day here soaking up the natural beauty and being inspired by the interesting plant life around every corner.
