Such a cute, clean and well equipped accommodation. Decorated very tastefully. Four adults had plenty of room and privacy. Outdoor WC was handy too! Location is great. Walkable distance to shops and pubs. Quick ferry ride across to Instow for a sandy beach day. Highly recommend for a nice getaway
We had a fantastic stay in Appledore. The property has amazing views from the master bedroom and is well stocked with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. Great location too.
We couldn’t have asked for a better home for the week. Everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay is provided and the location and views are incredible. Would love to return in the future!
A very comfortable and well equipped home from home in a great location. Lovely to find a bottle chilling in the fridge and fresh pack of filter coffee among the supplies too. Excellent property and host.
The stay was amazing, right on the quay so great views from the bedroom of the sunrise in the morning.
Communication with Derek was really good and house had all the require facilities for our 2 week stay.
This was our 3rd visit to the same property. Despite saying we might stay somewhere else this year we were drawn back as it’s just so perfect!
The owner is very kind and responds very quickly to any issues.
We just love Appledore and already can’t wait to come back!

This is a stunning house, very homely and very comfortable with incredible views. Lots of space with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds and sofas. Its decorated to a very high and very thoughtful standard. Appledore and Instow are lovely places to stay with easy access to other local places of interest such as Clovelly and the Tarka Trail. We highly recommend this cottage and its location.
The cottage is clean, comfortable, pleasant and welcoming. There's plenty to see and do in and around Appledore, and a good choice of places to eat. We've visited the area quite a few times over the years and this cottage has certainly been one of the best. We all really enjoyed our stay.
Perfect cottage with amazing view in perfect location
The cottage is very cosy and comfortable. It is clean and well maintained. It was actually larger than we imagined it would be. It is located in a lovely small town and right on the quay with beautiful views across to Instow beach and the Devon countryside . Communication with Derek the host was first class and we were welcomed with some lovely gifts. We look forward to returning to this little gem again.
This cottage is just so fabulous , I can't think of anything that It didn't have. Appledore is a lovely village and I would definitely return and recommend ❤️
Book it! Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen essentials, cozy living spaces, romantic outdoor area, and ya cant beat the location. Right outside the door was the ferry to Instow, a lovely pizza place that did gluten free pizza, a deli and a small super market. We LOVED it! We only stayed 2 nights and we wished we had booked for longer! We would love to stay again. Thanks!
This is a a clean, well presented, beautifully positioned and cosy cottage overlooking the estuary of the river.
Derek the Host could not have been more helpful.
I fully recommend this property.
This is a super little cottage, right on the quay. There are restaurants and cafes literally on your doorstep. We ate out every night and had very very good food. We did quay jumping, crabbing and sea fishing. The sea ferry runs for a few hours most days ( tide dependent) across to lovely instow beach.
The view from the main bedroom Is spectacular and everything was extremely clean. The hosts was especially helpful when we had change of plans.

Great Location!
Arrived Saturday 30 July... Quayside cottage was everything we could have hoped for... Spacious, spotlessly clean, every mod con but maintaining character.
Master bedroom has great views over the estuary.
Ideally situated for all the pubs/restaurants in Appledore (great entertainment in many of the pubs)
Congratulations to Derek on creating such a gem.
We'll be back!

This is a lovely cosy comfortable cottage on the Quay in Appledore with a super view over the river estuary. We had some difficulty finding it as the website is misleading. The actual name of the cottage is The Moorings not Quayside Fisherman’s Cottage! Please can you change this on your website?
This was an absolute gem of a place, comfy, quirky, spotless, a real home from home... but better. The decor was delightful, real homely touches, warm and cosy. It was light, bright and airy, with spectacular views over the estuary.
Everything.you could need in the well equipped kitchen, and then some!
There were nice touches, such as games for a rainy day, a very thoughtful welcome pack.. which was much appreciated, and a welcoming light left on for our late arrival.
In the absolute best location to enjoy all the delights of fabulous Appledore.
The host, Derek, was extremely welcoming, helpful and immediately answered any queries by text, or phone.
We shall return to this cottage in the future, we have Scrabble competitions to complete!
Thank You for having us to stay.
