Welcome to Maneri Villa

Maneri Villa is a peaceful, modern retreat set within a developing coconut grove, fruit plantation and spice garden. Combining contemporary comfort with tropical surroundings, it is an ideal setting for families, friends and larger groups seeking privacy, relaxation and an authentic Zanzibar experience.


Flexible Villa Design

The villa can be enjoyed as one spacious home or divided into two self-contained apartments. The ground and upper floors are connected by an internal staircase, while a wide external staircase provides completely independent access to the upper apartment.

The ground floor opens directly onto the garden and swimming pool. Upstairs, wraparound balconies and a spacious 4 × 4 metre covered veranda provide the perfect setting for breakfast, evening drinks and sunset views.


Location and Private Pool

Maneri Villa is approximately a five-minute walk from a local fishermen’s beach, where guests can experience peaceful coastal surroundings and beautiful sunsets over the Indian Ocean.

The secluded 8 × 4 metre swimming pool is reserved exclusively for Maneri Villa guests and is illuminated at night. The poolside area includes sun loungers, a hammock, a couple’s swing, coffee tables and an outdoor shower.


Dining

Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob, oven, microwave, toaster, blender, cooking utensils and essential ingredients.

Breakfast and freshly prepared home-cooked meals are available from our staff for a small additional charge. Meals should be requested the evening before. Dietary preferences and allergies can be accommodated where possible with advance notice. Local takeaway and grocery delivery services are also available.

Guests can enjoy air-conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, a Samsung Smart TV with Netflix, a soundbar, subwoofer and PlayStation 4.

Each apartment includes a washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes rack, hairdryer and secure key-code lockbox for flexible self-check-in. There are also two electronic safes on each floor for securing personal belongings.

A cot, highchair and wireless baby monitor are available on request. The pressurised water system provides powerful showers, while outdoor facilities include a sheltered pizza oven, brick barbecue and portable beach barbecue.


Sustainable Off-Grid Living

Maneri Villa is powered by a 30 kW, 60-panel solar array and a 96.42 kWh lithium battery system, providing reliable electricity even during island power cuts. Waste is separated, with organic and plastic materials recycled responsibly.



Interaction with guests

Site security staff are present 24/7 to speak to directly for any needs. There is also a 24-hour concierge facilitator that can be contacted via WiFi at anytime.

Other details to note

A small onsite gym is available for guests and includes free weights, an exercise bench, a power cage, a pulley system and a weight rack.
Inflatable airbeds are also available for additional guests when required.
Stone Town is approximately a 30-minute drive away, and a nearby bus stop provides an affordable and convenient option for local travel.
