Our family of four with two teenagers stayed here for four nights in June 2026. Peter the owner helped arrange airport pickup and transfer including a stop at Belize Zoo on the way there and Cave Tubing on the way back. Peter met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of their stunning 1 acre land where they have let all manner of trees and plants grow naturally in the middle of town, attracting wonderful birds and other wildlife. Peter helped us pick a mango to eat which will go down in history as the most flavorful mango I have ever smelled and tasted.A/C: there is no A/C at this cottage. It was 85F-90F. With two fans in every room, we were comfortable, slept well, and even our teenagers appreciated being acclimated to the environment instead of the shock of going in and out of A/C.Noise: because of no A/C, jalousie windows open for air flow. There are screens to keep the bugs out however. Open windows means hearing noise of the town. On weekend nights especially, you might hear music from nearby bars. In addition, there are roaming dog packs throughout the town that you can hear barking in the distance. We are good sleepers and were not significantly bothered by this. The town is super safe to walk at all hours of the night, has fun restaurants, amazing farmer’s market every day with best fresh fruit and juice, swim at Branch Mouth Park and jump from bridge, self tour Cahal Pech ruins, and eat a sunset meal at Cahal Pech resort.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed review. It was a real pleasure having your family stay with us at Nature’s Nest, and I’m especially pleased that you enjoyed the gardens, wildlife and the more natural side of staying here in San Ignacio. I think the mango may have been one of the highlights for me too — there’s something very satisfying about picking fruit straight from the tree and sharing it with guests, so I’m delighted that one became such a memorable part of your Belize trip! Thank you also for describing the cottage so accurately. Nature’s Nest does not currently have A/C, but with its screened jalousie windows and multiple fans it was designed to make the most of the natural airflow. As you mentioned, that also means you experience more of the sounds of San Ignacio around you, particularly at weekends. We really appreciate you explaining both aspects so clearly for future guests. It was also great being able to help arrange your transfer and tours
