Charming location for a happy holidays

Beautiful house in a lovely garden! We had we all we needed and the grandparents were very happy with their separate suite on the groundfloor! The house is just as discribed by their charming and helpful onwners, Daphne and Thomas. We hope to be able to come back next year.

Nicely restored historical building

Beautiful spacious and fully equiped house. Safely enclosed large garden for children and dogs. Gentle house owners. Interesting things to discover in the neighborhood.

Lovely spacious house in great location

Beautiful characterful, spacious and well equipped house in a perfect location. We had a great time, the house was clean and the garden was lovely. We enjoyed lunch on the sunny patio, and visited lots of pretty towns and villages nearby. The owner, Daphne, was there if we needed her, but left us to our own devices. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay with the delightful Daphne and Tom. It’s a lovely, relaxing, characterful property within beautiful grounds in a great location in close proximity to Montreuil and Hesdin, for restaurants, shops and markets. Lovely dog walks direct from the Gite and the added bonus of a very nice Auberge a one minute stroll from the property. Highly recommended for switching off from everyday life, relaxing, reading and for lovers of nature. Thanks again for a wonderful stay x

Great stay

We have just returned from a great stay, this Gite has everything you need and more with plenty of space for a family to spread out inside and out. The Gite is a tastefully converted stable block with plenty of charm and character as well as history from both WW1 & WW1, this is by far the best property we have stayed in during our annual visits to France and we will certainly be returning in the future Daphne and Tom are excellent host’s and are there if needed, but equally leave you to your own devices in the Gite and outdoor lawned courtyard. The location is very quiet and there is a constant stream of song birds visiting the bird feeder, if you are lucky you will even see a woodpecker. We had never stayed in this part of France before and were pleasantly surprised by its convenient location a couple of miles from the motorway, the Somme and medieval battlefield’s are in easy reach as well as the Cote de Opal beaches and seaside towns. There is an excellent bar/restaurant in the village for Evening meals as well as plenty of other eating choices in the area, excellent walk’s from the property

Exceptionally helpful and nice hosts. My only criticism was the fact that the shower was on the second floor with a winding staircase and no mention was made of this.

Great place to relax

We really enjoyed our holidays at this beautiful place. The house has a special „flair“ and enough space for 4 adults and 4 children. It is very comfortable and well equipped. The big garden was our favorite place to stay. Playing badminton, relaxing, barbecue, watching bats and the hunting owl :-). The beach is only 30 minutes away. The owners Daphne and Tom are really nice and helpful. Thank you for the great time.

Schöner Aufenthalt

Das Objekt ist sehr schön, es gibt einen gut gepflegten Garten, genügend Sitzecken, wir konnten immer in der Sonne sitzen. Die Vermieter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, auch belastbar, weil unsere Enkel (und Hunde) zum Teil ziemlichen Radau gemacht haben. Bei Ankuft bekamen wir einen selbstgebackenen Kuchen, es wurde auch an Kleinigkeiten gedacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder. VG A. Tölle

Wat een verrassing

Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Les Ecuries in Argoules. Alles en nog meer wat we ons konden wensen was er: een geweldige ontvangst met verse scones, een prachtig huis met alles erop en eraan, fantastische gastvrouw en gastheer. En wat een rust, wakker worden met vogelgeluiden en verder niets. Wat hebben wij met zeven personen genoten van dit huis. Zeker de moeite waard van het terugkomen.

très bon séjour!

Gîte confortable: chaleureux, bien équipé (manque 1 ou 2 grandes marmites pour induction), spacieux relativement calme , magnifique pour observer des oiseaux, décoration de bon goût , très "sweet home", base de ménage (épices, filtre à café... ) complète. Propriétaires:discrets, disponibles et très accueillants (plateau de bienvenue bien garni pour petits et grands) Région très paisible et belle. Thank you Daphné & Thomas!

L’endroit est absolument magnifique, magique ! Dans un cadre de verdure.

pour nous séjour : grands parents, enfants, petits enfants. Chacun a son espace, l’aménagement est tout simplement parfait. Tout est prévu pour le confort de chacun (adulte, bébé, enfants). Ambiance cosy. La région est magnifique ! Un séjour merveilleux !

Un havre de paix.

Nous remercions Daphne et Thomas pour leur accueil chaleureux et sympathique, chez eux, vous êtes vraiment attendus. Petits et grands, chacun a droit à sa collation, 1 (très généreux) plateau de bienvenue vous attend, il y a des bonbons dans le séjour, il y a du feu dans la cheminée, il y a des livres , des jeux, des dvd et le gîte est prêt quand vous arrivez, vraiment, il ne manque rien. Il y a beaucoup de documentation sur la région, beaucoup d' informations pratiques. L'endroit est magnifique ,magique, l'ensemble des bâtiments a un charme fou, c'est pittoresque et dépaysant. Il y a vraiment beaucoup d'espace et chacun peut trouver 1 endroit pour s'isoler, tout comme il y a de la place pour se retrouver tous ensemble. Daphne et Thomas sont très attentifs au confort et à la quiétude de leur hôtes, il y a plusieurs petits coins dans le jardin pour se détendre, savourer ce magnifique jardin, observer les oiseaux, et il y en a beaucoup, c'est 1 véritable bonheur. Le jardin est magnifiquement fleuri, un régal pour les yeux. Nous sommes encore sous le charme de cette demeure d'un autre temps. Nous recommandons cette location aux familles, petits groupes d'amis, pour se détendre, découvrir la région, prendre 1 bon bol d'air. Daphne et Thomas sont très disponibles tout en étant très discrets et nous les remercions encore pour la confiance qu'ils nous ont accordée en nous permettant d'emmener notre chatte. Argoules et ses environs valent plus qu'un détour, un arrêt prolongé!!! et n'hésitez pas à vous arrêter dans les bons restaurants du coin.

little paradise in Argoules

We really loved this holiday home. It is the best house we have rented in France ever. This is a lovely ancient home (former horse stables) with beautiful surroundings. The house is very comfortable and equipped with everything you need, yes really everything. Really nice owners (Daphne is a great scones-cook) and the fact that they are Irish and speak English is very convenient for those who speak very little French. The little kittens in the garden were an absolute bonus for us :-). We really hope many people will have the same wonderful experience we have had! Tom & Daphne, thanks for letting us stay in your wonderful home!
