About this property
Wave 24 Savynomad Harbour Residence & Private SPA Cave
A striking mix of Valletta heritage and modern design. A perfect space for guests looking to up their romance or seeking wellness and mindfulness, with its own private underground natural cave featuring inground SPA. Sit back as you feel the jets easing tight muscles and tense shoulders, and watch your worries wither away! Then go up one flight of stairs and enjoy the magnificent Grand Harbour views. It’s the only private house in Malta which offers this exclusive experience.
The space
Set in the heart of Valletta and conveniently located near popular eateries, bars and the historic centre, this fully equipped studio maisonette offers state-of-the art amenities that give a truly unique and sophisticated guest experience.
On sunrise, watch how the sun strikes and glows on the honey-coloured Maltese limestone walls near the kitchen and bed area. Then look through the door and window to view Malta’s most historic location: the stunning Grand Harbour and the magnificent Three Cities. Cook your favourite breakfast and then take a chair and small table on the pavement next to the entrance and gaze at the ships and the world go by. This small studio house provides only the utmost luxury and relaxation to all who enter its door.
Your own private jacuzzi SPA cave........ anyone who still thinks a hotel is more fun is welcome to head to one right now.
Guest access
Hanging right on the historic Grand Harbour's bastions, this 87 square meter ground floor maisonette has traditional vaulted ceilings and comes with what you need to relax or to be productive: A table that doubles as a working desk with high speed internet access, wired ethernet, universal socket and USB charging points that keep you productive. A well equipped kitchen inclusive, washer-dryer, espresso machine, toaster, microwave and oven, hob, ironing facilities, air conditioning, high pressure shower, king size premium memory foam bed, 2 one-seater sofas, 43 inch TV with the possibility to access your Netflix subscription and other channels, etc.
This Savynomad Suite with SPA cave is easily accessible with 3 steps down from St Anthony Street (Triq Sant Anton. Free non-metered street parking lies in front of the accomodation. A parking area is 50 meters up the street. During parking in front of the accommodation is usually available later in the afternoon.... just after a day out.
Other things to note:
Just a heads-up: a neighbouring property (not ours!) is being renovated from now until October 2025, Monday to Saturday. You might see some scaffolding but your amazing harbour views and entrance remain clear. Work happens only between 9am and 5:30pm, and the neighbour has agreed to keep noise to a minimum.
The property has just been completely refurbished but all the original heritage features have been kept and painstakingly restored. Beautiful vaulted ceilings. Lovely honey-coloured Maltese limestone. Although at street level the accomodation offers good privacy with double glazing in window and reflective glass. On ground floor you will find the main room with bedroom, kitchen and dining areas. At the back you'll find the bathroom which leads downstairs to the SPA and jacuzzi cave.
It is good for guests to know that this home is a restored historic 500 year old building that shows the traditional Maltese architecture and the beauty of the exposed Maltese stone and vaulted ceilings. Due to the porous and humid nature of Maltese globigerina limestone and the way these buildings were constructed hundreds of years ago, the honey-coloured stone walls tend to flake a little. Through the stay expect to see some tiny flakes here and there. It's part of the experience of living in an authentic Maltese townhouse in Valletta.
During the office hours when guests are usually away on siteseeing, cars are usually parked in front of the accommodation. So seaviews can be a bit disrupted by this. However, in the late afternoons and evenings when guests are back from site-seeing, one can sit outside next to the door, or as Maltese tradition goes: temporarlily take a chair and coffee table outside next to the bastion parapet and enjoy the harbour views at sunset.
Alternatively, after a long day of site-seeing go down to the SPA cave and refresh yourself in the inground jacuzzi (inground hot tub). Unwind, forget time and relax. A real wellness experience.
