Luxurious house in the sunny valley above Opatija (“The Pearl of the Adriatic”) with stunning views of Kvarner Bay. Through the entrance, you step into the spacious foyer. Right next to it is the comfortable living room and the fully equipped kitchen, arranged in an open floor plan, with a dining table that seats up to ten people. All windows and patio doors are floor-to-ceiling, allowing you to truly enjoy the breathtaking views.
On the lower level, there is a bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a door leading directly out to the terrace overlooking the sea. Down here, you’ll also find a separate bathroom as well as a laundry room/storage area with two washing machines and dryers, plus an extra freezer and refrigerator. The staircase from the entryway leads up to four more spacious bedrooms. One of these has an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony with magnificent views. The other three bright bedrooms share a large bathroom. The spacious, fully tiled, bright bathrooms feature large rain showers, a toilet, large double sinks, heated floors, a fan, and plenty of storage space. Each bedroom has two comfortable 90 cm-wide beds, extra pillows, and a large double closet with plenty of space.
Outside, there is a terrace of just over 200 square metres on two levels. You step right out through one of the three patio doors from the living room or kitchen. There you’ll find a dining area for ten people with an awning that provides shade from the sun. At the front of the terrace, you’ll find a cosy lounge area where you can enjoy the fantastic surroundings.
The terrace also features a large propane grill for outdoor cooking. The stairs lead down to the pool area, which features a 4x7-metre swimming pool and comfortable lounge chairs. There is also an outdoor shower here. Surrounding the house is a beautiful garden featuring climbing plants, palm trees, citrus trees, olive trees, and various herbs.
The house has everything you need for a perfect holiday. Additional amenities include: a Nescafé Dolce Gusto espresso machine. Stereo speakers that connect to your music player via Wi-Fi. There’s a hiking trail that leads down to the elegant town of Opatija, which takes 30–45 minutes to walk. Be prepared for the fact that parts of the trail are quite steep. However, by car, it’s only a 15–20-minute drive to Opatija. The town is located in the heart of the Istrian Riviera and boasts the longest tradition of tourism in Croatia. It features grand Neo-Baroque and rustic Italian styles. A multicultural collage of pink walls, fluted columns, faded red tiles, grand staircases, and small balconies overlooking the sea. Some of Croatia’s best restaurants can be found in Opatija. This is where the famous Lungomare runs—the romantic, twelve-kilometer-long seaside promenade that winds its way from Volosko through Opatija to Lovran, with plenty of spots to sunbathe and take a dip in the crystal-clear water. In city centre Opatija, there are several swimming areas as well as the Lido Beach Club, Colosseum Beach Club, and Royal Beach Club. The nearest “beach” is fifteen minutes from the house in Icici. In addition to fantastic food, Opatija offers a variety of cafes and bars, shopping, frequent concerts in the fabulously beautiful park or on one of the city’s terraces, a casino, and a few nightclubs. About a fifteen-minute drive from Opatija is the large city of Rijeka, which offers attractions, shopping, and a vibrant nightlife.
