We absolutely loved how cute, cozy, and memorable this place was, and we’re grateful for the experience! However, several cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns took away from our stay, especially with our young children. Mouse traps and rodent droppings were present, along with cobwebs and areas that appeared poorly cleaned or dusted. This made us uncomfortable relaxing on the furniture due to the potential health concerns.The windows also don’t appear to be properly sealed, causing the property to get cold very quickly. On top of that, the thermostat was lowered to 55F in the middle of the night while we were STILL staying there, leaving us freezing despite having turned it up prior. Whether this is an attempt to save on heating costs or simply a maintenance issue, it’s not acceptable for guests to be left uncomfortable.For a professionally managed rental operating much like a hotel, with substantial fees and expectations that guests complete basic chores and meet checkout standards, we expected the property to be held to those same standards of cleanliness and care. It’s frustrating to pay premium rates and be held accountable for our responsibilities as guests when the property itself falls short. While the home has so much charm and potential, significant cleaning and maintenance work is needed to bring it up to the standard its pricing suggests. We truly loved the cozy atmosphere and the memories we made. We hope these concerns will be fixed for future guest

Small but very cozy place. Good location, close to restaurants and the lake. Wish it had 2 bathrooms. But would stay again.

Cozy

perfect location close to town & ski resorts Cabin was just so cute & cozy not too small & enough room for family of 5 & even more cuz plenty of bed space & lots of blankets. Kitchen well stocked & fireplace was a hit added to the coziness. Would certainly recommend & come back to stay.

High Speed internet was NOT high speed. Bathroom very dated and dark. Could not get TV’s to work., so had to stream from our laptops to TV’s via HDMI cables. Kitchen was serviceable with a decent array of pots, pans, utensils and appliances.

Our family had a wonderful time spending Christmas here. Was cute and cozy and perfect for us. Would definitely stay again. If I had one super small critique, it’s wish there was a dedicated place to hang coats. We used the closet in the bunk bed room downstairs but because it rained it was a little messy moving it all the way to the back. But it was so not a big deal or deal breaker. Would def return!

Perfect getaway

This property was exactly as listed! The location was great and the house was clean. It was well stocked with towels, blankets and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. This cabin was perfect for our family of 4 and would recommend it!

Big Bear at its best!

Wonderful cabin! We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch and the picknick table amongst the trees (and stars). The free Keurig coffee pods were a nice touch. Highly recommended!

Beautiful small cabin

My husband and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway to take our son to see the snow. The cabin was perfect for the 3 of us. The neighborhood was out of the way from all the traffic and busy streets of the area which was so nice. We loved to wood burning stove and they had great instructions to get it going. The decor was beautiful, and the view was perfect out the big windows from the loft. We loved driving around the neighborhood to see the bigger homes and cabins. We would definitely would stay here again!

Weekend Getaway

Had a very nice time at this location. One item you may want to check on is that the refrigerator door remains open you keep closing it but it opens on its own even with nothing in it.

Well .. beautiful cabin. Beautiful area. Won't stay again. After booking I had to give way more information to the city of big bear than I've ever had to give any other place I've ever stayed. Ok, whatever... There are signs on the property about noise. So why, every single night, was one of the neighbors obnoxiously loud and just got louder every single night? I called the property management and they seemed confused, had no idea what to do. They told me it was probably a bobcat. On the third night I found the number for code enforcement and they came out and things got quieter. Then this afternoon someone just rolled up in the driveway and sat there. I went outside and said hello and they hid their face from me. I called the property and again they had no idea what to do or how to handle. I ended up calling 911 and they sent police out... They also told me to call the property back and ask them to request another patrol tonight .. property managers acted like they couldn't do that. Also there are ring cameras all over the property but they don't have access to see them? Tonight was the final night and also the final straw. A loud party outside so I called code enforcement again and they said they can't do anything since the house where they're making the noise are residents and not renters... So different rules if you live here vs rent. Never again.

We loved it

We loved everything about this cabin. Loved how they decorated throughout the whole cabin for Christmas 🎄! Washer didn’t work, they only gave us 1 wash cloth for 4 people, and the bath tub only fills up not even half way with hot water before it turns cold! Other than that...we loved it !
