Reserve our Pocono lakefront vacation home for ALL SEASON fun! Bring your family and friends - enough room for ALL - home away from home - unwind and enjoy! The house has a warm cabin atmosphere with everything you need to have a comfortable stay.

Lakefront Vacation Rental - 6 bedrooms, 4 baths (2 full, 2 half), 2 Fireplaces-SNOW SKI/SWIM - sleeps 16 people, 2 decks, access to lake right in backyard, 10 car parking, full eat in kitchen, safe-private gated community (in Tobyhanna PA) with skiing, shopping and horse back riding within minutes. Our house is PET FRIENDLY but all pets must be approved by the owner of the house prior to arrival to the house and require a minimal per pet fee per stay.

Bed configuration: Two bedrooms have Queen beds, two bedrooms have Full beds, two bedrooms have Twin over Full bunk bed , + Full pull out couch(bring your own sheets and bath towels) + Twin pull out chair

Kitchen is stocked with dishes/pots/utensils/serving spoons. Has a dishwasher, utensils/pots/pans etc...
4 ROKU TV's one in each main living area, 2 in larger bedrooms.
2 fireplaces, one in each living room.
Rustic décor throughout.
Cathedral ceiling on upper floor.
4 French sliding doors provide an amazing view/access to the private lake right off the backyard - you will never forget this sight.
Wildlife, such as deer, woodchuck and beautiful birds will frequent during your visit.

Note: There is no A/C in the house but 4 sliding doors and 3 ceiling fans provide a comfortable environment. Poconos are typically cooler because of the high elevation mountain location. Great sleeping weather

The Pocono Mountains Info: Area has golf and Several ski resorts as well as other activities such as rafting, horseback riding & antiquing a few minutes away.

Once you have experienced the warmth and comfort of this house you will want to come back season after season!

Delightful stay

Our family reunion went beautifully, largely thanks to the Augustines's lovely lake house. Jill and Mike were wonderful, responsive and flexible hosts and the house and locations were ideal. We highly recommend the house!

The Lake House @ Lake Carobeth

Renting thru the VRBO App was very easy. Time consuming part is finding the right property with the best mix of living space for the group.

Lakefront vacation

We enjoyed being right on the lake, we caught alot of bass, and the kids enjoyed catching sunfish & bluegills from the dock. Although we weren't able to swim in the lake account of bacteria in the lake, we were close enough to the other parks that had a nice beach. The owners were very easy to deal with.

2018 Family Vacation

This place is amazing. The views are extraordinary, we enjoy the accommodations, very spacious rooms, lots of games and entertainment for the kids inside and outside. We sat by the fire roasted marshmallows, rode the kayaks, paddleboats in overall I give this place a 5 star. The owners Jill & Mike were very accommodating and responsive to any questions or requests we had. will highly recommend this place as we are thinking of coming back.

Great spot for a large group

Pros: Lake, kayaks, paddle boat, plenty of sleeping room, can easily accommodate 15-17 people Cons: The house is very close to other houses on either side within the same gated community. That said, we were a relatively rowdy bunch and stayed up outside way into the AM, and we never got any issues from security or neighbors. Your mileage may vary

Family fun

We had a great time playing games, cards, puzzles, kayaking and watching the ducks. Plenty of sleeping space and table space. The unfortunate part was that this house is in great need of maintenance. So many things are broken and worn out. Also some leaking from the living room ceiling during a rain. It could be a great place with a little TLC. Nevertheless, we had a great family week together.

Great vacation

Very nice relaxing vacation. Had some small issues, like light switches not marked, so spent time flipping switches to get lights on or off. Toilet paper was provided, a full roll on, and almost empty rolls under the sink. Glad we brought our own. Screens on sliding doors had openings in them that a medium sized dog could walk through. We fixed the one we used to keep the bugs out. But it was a nice vacation and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Location Location Location

Nice lakefront property with great potential. Pro's- great communication from the owners that were clear and pertinent. Great wifi and the kitchen was adequately stocked with utensils (except spoons). The layout of the house is great and our entire family enjoyed a great week. The house is in need of upgrades (couldn't keep a plug in many of the outlets) and would suggest running a dehumidifier to alleviate the musty smell. The bathroom fixtures were clean but I can't say the same for the floors. Thanks for sharing your lakefront home with us.

Water, Sun and Fun!

For Memorial Day weekend we took the extended family to Mike and Jill's place. Everyone was thrilled with the size and the layout of the 2 floors, having 6 bedrooms and essentially 2 living room areas. The kids had a blast playing foosball and ping pong, challenging their parents, grandparents, and uncles. A few of us took turns in the kayak to paddle down Lake Carobeth. We had no problem getting into Welcome Center or using the pool facilities (just be sure to follow rules and take the paper with that has the information of party size and the pool tags). We had some noisy weekender neighbors but Mike gave us the # to the Welcome Center and public safety took care of that; sound really travels over and around water so you have to watch voice/music volumes. Mike and Jill were very generous with the coming and leaving hours, so we took advantage of the latter. It's really great to have enough room to move around and get away by yourself in the house. We enjoyed our weekend tremendously. Thank you, Mike and Jill.

A lovely place to reconnect with family

Our group of ten adults, one toddler, and four dogs had a fantastic time at this wonderful house. While there was enough space inside for everyone on the day we experienced some rain storms, the real draw is outside. We spent many hours on the large two story deck, talking, relaxing, and reading with mountain breezes keeping everything from getting too hot. We also really enjoyed the lake. Members of our party fished right from the dock (though nobody caught The Big One) and we made use of the pedal boat and kayaks. The community in which the house is located has several nice amenities including playgrounds, pools, a sandy beach, and sport courts. While I didn't personally take advantage of these, members of our group did and enjoyed it. The owners Michael and Jill were very helpful to us before and during our stay. They were available whenever we had questions and resolved a few minor problems for us quickly. A couple of things that other travelers may want to be aware of: - There is limited fridge/freezer space which can be challenging with large groups. We made it work with several large coolers on the porch filled with ice but if you have a large group, you might want to plan on a mid-week grocery run. - The beds were not the most comfortable with several of the mattresses being uneven. We lived with it and it was fine. Despite these two flaws, I give this property five stars for the service we received and the price that we paid. We spent HOURS combing the internet for waterfront houses with 6+ bedrooms that allow dogs AND fit our budget and this was one of few that came up. What a deal! Thank you for such a great experience!

The pictures do not do it justice!

This place was a dream for me and my family!! The are bedrooms on both floors, which helped greatly with my elderly grandmother. She spent the entire weekend comfortably on the first floor. It was very easy checking in at the community office too. From being able to drink my morning tea on the top deck, looking out over the glistening lake, to roasting smores over the fire pit at night while looking at the stars: ever moment was so perfect! Even for a big group like us, we had our dog, my younger siblings, some extended family, and our grandparents, everyone enjoyed themselves. The only minor issues is that there was no paddleboat, just a rowboat and the oars were broken (one was not connected to the boat), but the kayaks were a blast!! Thank you for opening up your home to us!

Excellent property

This house is perfectly located on the lakefront in the gated community. There are six bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms to share. Two of the bedrooms had private half bath which was a great perk to have. The kitchen has some pots and pans for guests use, but not enough cups and glasses I think. There is no kettle, so if you are a tea drinker bring your own (we brought one with us, so no biggy). The refrigerator and the kitchen is on the smaller side, so if you have a big group and plan on cooking consider downsizing on groceries lol. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating during our visit, so we didn't have a chance to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boat the owners provide. The firepit is right in front of the house and has lots of chairs around it. Too bad we couldn't enjoy it again due to the weather (it was raining all 3 days we were there). The house is not modern and if you like luxury this house is not for you. Also if you have allergies I suggest you take your medication with you as you will need it (I think its due to the age and location of the house). The owners were super nice and they gave us very generous check in and check out times, Thank you The wifi didn't work on our arrival, but my husband called the owner and it was fixed (we got the directions on how to make it to work). We were a family of 17 and there was enough sleeping spaces, if some of you dont mind not sleeping in the bedroom. There was lots of games, books and two living rooms to entertain. The owners replied to all my emails and phone calls. I definitely recommend this house. Thank you Jil and Mike

Great place and wonderful family get away!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the lake house. The views were great, the space offered enough room for the adults and children to enjoy, and we had a large group! We did a day at the mountains skiing and tubing and got to enjoy the fire places, views, and games at the house. Great time had by all! Thank you!

Can’t Control the Weather

The property suited our needs. Thank goodness for the kayaks, paddle boat and the fire pit! Between rain storms and unusually cold weather we were able to warm ourselves around the fire pit and enjoy each other’s company. The house is stocked with many board games and enough dishes to accommodate all guests. The owners were responsive to our issues with the TVs, and some lights that were out. They even replaced the a paddle boat that had some issues. My only negative is that I had a great deal of physical issues with the staircases to the 2nd floor, so please consider if you have any mobility or balance issues. But the younger members of the family had no problem.

We are a family of 6 who enjoy renting our home to others who will enjoy it as much as we do. We take pride in keeping it both quaint/cozy with a rustic decor, as well as up to date with modern conveniences like dishwasher, washer/dryer, newer kitchen & Wireless Internet.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this lakefront home simply to enjoy the Poconos, ourselves, all season long - We furnished the house indoor and out, as if we would be using it (and we do!) and found that we enjoy renting it out to others who find the house as enjoyable as we do. :) This house will be part of our family for many years to come and be handed down to our children.

What makes this property unique

We love the firepit, the two fireplaces, the 2 decks overlooking the lake and the BBQ grill outside. We like to sit on either the upper or lower deck and look out at the lake and enjoy the calm of the water. Sometimes at night, if you sit in the downstairs living room (there are two!) and look out at the water through the sliding doors, it almost appears as if you are on a boat because the moon glows onto the water while the water slowly ripples from the breeze. Another thing we love it sitting right by the water's edge and enjoying a roaring fire in the firepit. You just cant beat it - it's a great experience. In the summertime, we bring inflatable rafts and boat off the backyard. In the winter time when it is cold enough and the lake is frozen solid over, we enjoy ice skating right off the backyard. All season fun... love it!
