This chalet, situated in the enchanting mountains of La Monta (Switserland )at an altitude of 1800-1900 meters, offers unparalleled views of the valley and majestic mountains. With an EVO label and enhanced amenities since December 2019, such as a fixed TV cable and powerful WiFi, we guarantee an unforgettable stay with all modern conveniences.

Amenities:

Two different coffee machines and a bread maker to enhance your stay.
We offer an additional service: all beds are made upon arrival, allowing you to relax immediately after your journey.
A box of firewood is provided in winter, allowing you to enjoy a cozy evening by the fireplace upon arrival, complete with a welcome bottle of wine.

La Monta is a picturesque mountain village a short distance from the center of Arolla and a 15-minute drive from the Evolene ski area. The proximity to Sion, 35 minutes away, provides the opportunity to enjoy shopping and terraces.

In winter, ideal for skiing and cross-country skiing, with a cross-country ski trail 50 meters away and the ski slope 600 meters from the road.
In summer, perfect for mountain climbing and hiking, with beautiful routes in the immediate vicinity.

Fantastic ski holiday in a winter wonderland

We spent our skiing holiday this year in this beautifully situated chalet in the middle of nature. We had a great time as a family, many cozy hours by the fireplace. The chalet is well equipped and we can warmly recommend a holiday in this house.

Luxurious stay in a quiet house situated at the end of Val d'Herens.

In summer this place is ideal for those who looking for peace and quiet in nature and those who like to climb the mountains. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The owner of the house is helpful and open to the needs of her guests. We spent a very good time in this house.

This chalet is in a fantastic location, offering a charming retreat in the Swiss Alps. While the ski area is small, it boasts high-quality slopes, and the ski school is excellent for children. You can also enjoy Nordic skiing, ski tours, and snowshoe hikes right from the chalet.Inside, the chalet is beautifully designed and well-equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen and toys for children. Es handelt sich um ein besonders schönes Objekt in einer zauberhaften Lage.Tatsächlich ist es zwar ein schönes, aber kein luxuriöses Chalet. Die Vor-Ort-Betreuung durch den Inhaber der lokalen Epicerie ist fantastisch, ein außergewöhnlich freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Mensch.Die Ausstattung innen ist zwar gut, aber das Objekt ist leider total überladen (zB 3 Kaffemaschinen und unzählige Geräte in der Küche, die kaum Platz für Lebensmittel lassen). Im Wohn- und Schlafbereich ziemlich staubig, mäßig sauber.Alles in allem empfehlenswert, gemütlich, gute Lage. Von einer Generalüberholung und Entrümpelung würde dieses schöne Haus sehr profitieren.

Charmant chalet situé à coté d'une rivière. Idéalement situé pour partir randonner ou juste flâner et oublier la vie active. Terrasse et balcon. Le chalet est peu lumineux mais on s'y s'en bien. Il est confortable et bien équipé.

Wir hatten quasi ein Rundum-Sorglos-Paket. In der Küche alles da was wir brauchten und noch mehr. Das Chalet ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Umgebung zum Wandern echt perfekt und nicht so überlaufen. Wir können das Chalet nur empfehlen!

La vaisselle était sale. Le logement n'était pas propre (il y avait de la crasse dans les coins et sous les lits). Le 5ième jour, nous avons subit des morsures de puces. Beaucoup de surplus (eau, bois et électricité) par rapport au prix annoncé (informations communiquées, sur c'est points, seulement quelques jours avant le départ) Point positif, la région est très belle, et les habitants très gentils

In the last 20 years of renting my chalet there has never ever been a single complaint regarding the cleanliness and the communication process, that I use providing instructions and local support for all my guests. In the 20 years of operation the overall feedback from guests has achieved a 5 star rating of my chalet. This complaint has absolutely no basis of truth. Various local support staff have stated that there is no basis, no truth, no facts, from these renters. No communication/ complaint had ever been received by any of my local support staff during the 9 days stay. The comments/issues identified by the renters is pure fiction and is strenuously denied. Pure fiction. There were no fleas on arrival, but if you claim that after 5 days you suddenly noticed that there were fleas in my chalet, then there is only one possibility. You brought the fleas into my chalet yourself. Where have you been the past 5 days? At that time I would have asked someone from my team to come and make the beds and check if there were indeed fleas, but you only reported it at the end of your stay, after having enjoyed of your stay. Fantastisch chalet op wonderschone plek

We hebben een week genoten met twee kleine kinderen van Chalet Bams, vlakbij Arolla. Alles wat je nodig hebt, is er. Mooi, traditioneel chalet met alle moderne ingrediënten. Vanuit het chalet is het goed wandelen. Wat een geweldige en indrukwekkende natuur. Een fijne plek om je even helemaal terug te trekken uit de dagelijkse beslommeringen.

I read the comments of this guest that had stayed at my chalet recently, with shock and disappointment. Firstly, this guest departed WITHOUT paying for the electricity costs that he used which he clearly knew he had to pay and that were indicated in the rental agreement. Secondly, he left WITHOUT paying the mandatory Swiss tourism tax which all tourists are required to pay. Furthermore, this guest left the chalet in such a state that my cleaning staff had to spend a great deal of time cleaning and returning the chalet in a more presentable state. This guest had indicated that the amenities at Arolla were very limited. That this guest decided to highlight that in his comments is misplaced. My chalet has for 10 years only received 5-star ratings from my guests who have been highly complementary regarding the service and amenities that I offer to my guests. Furthermore, if he was disappointed that Arolla was not St. Moritz, then the guest should have done the necessary research as to where he was staying OR just go to St Moritz. Given the lack of respect that this guest showed by not paying the costs stated in the rental agreement when he departed, not appreciating the complementary wine nor the complimentary fireplace wood available upon his arrival, I will coordinate with VRBO to ensure that other owners are made aware of this guest’s behavior to hopefully avoid having my experience being repeated by others. While I gave this guest 4 stars, prematurely, this was before I received the negative feedback from my cleaning staff and rental support manager.

Tolles Chalet in ruhiger Lage

Wir haben eine erholsame Urlaubswoche im Chalet verbracht. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und befindet sich in ruhiger Lage. Vom Chalet aus gibt es viele Möglichkeiten für tolle Tagesabläufe. Die Bergwelt und die Region ist sehr schön. Allerdings muss man für viele Dinge ins nahegelegene Evolène (ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Auto). Vielen Dank auch für die Unterstützung vor Ort durch Christoph und von der Vermieterin. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Heerlijke plek in de Zwitserse Alpen

Fantastisch huisje. Zeer compleet ingericht. Schoon. Zeer rustige ligging met onvoorstelbaar mooi uitzicht. Het geluid van de klaterende beek en het stroompje naast het terras zijn aangenaam. Prima uitvalsbasis voor bergtochten. Uitstapje naar de stad Sion is heel goed te doen. Niet heel handig gelegen om andere uitstapjes veel verderop te gaan doen. Enige minpunt vonden wij de oprit naar de weg. Deze is net wat aan de lastige kant met een gewone personenauto, maar wel te behappen. Parkeren aan de weg is wel aan te raden.

Sehr schönes Chalet

Sehr schönes Chalet, wunderbar ruhig gelegen, direkt neben der Loipe. Für Schneeschuhgänger oder Langläufer sehr empfohlen. Im Chalet alles vorhanden, was man braucht.
