The place was unique in Swiss culture. Lots of ambiance. It was well stocked with everything you would need. The views were spectacular. The lack of air conditioning was a drawback on a hot day, but fans were provided. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, but odd to have them having access to the area between the toilet and the bedrooms for them to come in and out of their upstairs living quarters. Cute place and we enjoyed our stay.

We’re glad this guest enjoyed the Swiss ambiance, the views and how well equipped the place is. The shared corridor to the owners’ upstairs flat is clearly described in the listing, and we always use it as discreetly as possible to respect guests’ privacy.

We absolutely loved our stay in Oberhofen! The views of the lake and castle were superb. The hosts were quick to respond and were very friendly. Although it is a shared residence, they were great about our privacy. There’s an excellent swimming area nearby that provides access to the lake and the free garden next to the castle is worth taking a stroll through. Wish we had more time to visit Thun and the rest of the area.
