February Escape

We loved the property. When we arrived, not as clean as we would have liked, communicated that to owner for him to address with his cleaners. Check in was easy and owner, Ed, was so easy to deal with and responsive. We loved the location and walked many places. Wish the weather would have been better, but we still had a great vacation. This property is for sale, so we accomodated showing and open house. We are hoping to return next year.

Not a private home buyer beware!

The property isn’t a private home as described on VRBO, but rather a town home which is shared by the owner by an adjacent wall. We had to share the driveway and laundry area with the owner which was very inconvenient. Addition we had issues with the plumbing in the bathroom, the dishwasher didn’t work and the lock to the door never functioned correctly . The property is in a great location, walking distance to Correy Ave and the beaches. The owner is a nice man but buyer beware !

We strive to make sure everyone has a great experience. The property is a single-family home, which was originally 2 homes added together, there are multiple doors and walls in between the units. There is a shared laundry area between the units. Parking is one space in the driveway with multiple spaces available on the street. All this is mentioned in the listing and was mentioned in the text and emails prior to arrival. We did have an issue with the batteries on the door lock, which I immediately went to the store in the evening to replace that day. The locks on all doors are functioning with a key, but the digital operation of the front door needed a new battery. I fixed and gave them keys in addition stating if you have any other issues to let me know. I'm next door and can address any issues that might come up. The tenants were nice people and I told them to let me know if they have any issues to text me. They were here for roughly a month, but I did not get a text until 2 days before their departure that were having issues dishwasher and had to run the dishwasher multiple times to get clean dishes in addition one toilet was flushing slowly. I texted back immediately asking if I could stop over to take a look and see what was happening. They said don't worry we are leaving in 2 days, they just wanted to let me be aware of it. Dishes need to be rinsed prior to being put in the wash so particles don't clog the filter in the bottom. In addition, you need to use the spot remover product so the dishes don't get spots since we have hard water here. The dishwasher and spot remover products were in the unit. If I was told earlier of this, there would not have been any issues. I checked all items above and changed batteries on the lock prior to the new tenants arriving ; there have been no issues whatsoever. I have multiple tenants that come back every year because they like it so much. We try to make everyone enjoy their stay. I wish everyone well and look forward to positive and great future ahead.

The location is fantastic. An easy walk to pretty much everything. A couple of maintenance type issues here and there but Ed was quick to resolve.

A nice fresh house in a real neighborhood!

We loved our month in St Pete's Beach and the way that Ed thought of everything at the house--beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, a boogie board....lovely landscaping outside with seats around the firepit...grass in front for the puppy. The 2 bedrooms were spacious with excellent beds with pillow tops. The kitchen is big and modern. An all-around great setup. We appreciated the 2 bathrooms. Plenty of closet space. It was also great to be in a real neighborhood with locals...in between the beach and intercoastal...both walkable. (Go to Grove Surf and Coffee...the Sunday Market and Verducci's.) It was also so easy to slip into St Petersburg in 15 min, right up Central.

Truly was a walkable location

The location made it perfect for walking to Sunday farmer's market and festivals in downtown St. Pete Beach. Could walk to many restaurants and the beach. Ed was a great host and was responsive to all requests (he stayed in adjoining unit).

New property rental for owner

We rented a house rental that we thought was a separate unit and not attached to the owner landlord on the opposite side of the building divided by a middle garage. This was some what of a benefit with resolving several issues that arose which needed fixing, Some of the items were the garbage disposal needed replacement the first week. the refrigerator needed a new water filter and water leaks required stopping the ice maker to work. The ice returned after a plumber put a new supply line in for water. There were plumbing problems in several areas - Garage over flow and bathroom toilet needed new beeswax seal. Furniture is all new and beds were very comfortable for the stay. Televisions and internet worked flawlessly and I appreciated a new grill for our outdoor meals. Ed and his wife were very friendly and were available for questions and if any item with problems arose they were on top of resolution. The driveway requires special use because of the street gutter depth and the elevated driveway. I bottomed out my front and rear ends may times.
