About this property

Quiet Home near Historic Gent City Centre

Enjoy a stylish experience at our centrally-located home, a 10-mins walk to the historic city centre. We can`t wait to welcome you!

You & your group stay in our mid-terrace townhouse with a garden & lovely plant-filled conservatory! We love the city & want you to enjoy your visit in our house! We ask that you treat it with love & respect as if it was your own. No parties/loud noises late at night as this is a quiet residential street with neighbours.

Any questions? Please get in touch!

Our house has been recently renovated with a fantastic kitchen-dining-living room that leads onto a secluded and private city garden. You have everything you need to cook, including an American-style fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, and bean-to-cup coffee machine. We are plant lovers and have some amazing specimens for you to enjoy, we`ve created our very own mini jungle complete with a family of monkeys (who light the place up!).

There are two new bathrooms with great rain showers, a sink and a toilet. Each bedroom also has its own dedicated sink, mirror and hangers. The bedrooms also have plenty of storage with a wardrobe in each room.

When entering the house through the front door you come first into the laundry room/garage where there there is a dedicated washing machine and a separate tumble dryer.

Please note: the house is not very accessible for anyone with mobility issues - all bedrooms are up a spiral staircase with lots of steps. You`ll need to carry luggage/bags up these stairs so if that sounds like it could be an issue for you please consider a different property!

The house is gas-boiler heated and has a radiator in every room that is centrally controlled by a smart thermometer. In the summer it can get quite warm so we also provide fans in each bedroom (there is no airconditioning).

We have lots of plants so if you book a long stay we might request to come and do a little bit of plant maintenance/watering from time to time to keep them looking happy! We`ll talk to about this if we need to make any arrangements like this.

Please message if you have pets and would like to bring them.

This is a keyless property - you`ll receive a keycode before you arrive to unlock the front door once your booking is confirmed.

This will usually be a self check-in so you may not see me in person! But I am always available via the Airbnb app if you have any questions about the house or the city.

Very the near the house you have lots of interesting places to visit. Just a stone`s throw away is the Museum of Industry in Ghent. Other very close locations worth visiting include the Dok Noord Shopping Mall and various canals and parks.

In just under a 10 min walk you are in the centre of the historic city of Gent which is full of fantastic restaurants, museums, canals and historic buildings.

This is a fantastic city to explore and the house you`ll be staying in gives you perfect access to the whole city.

There is paid on-street parking outside the house, and one car can park free of charge in front of the garage. the house has a garage but it is not suitable for parking a car inside.

Public transport is very good in the City. There are lots of tams and buses that get your around the city. Our house is a 5 min walk from Gent Dampoort Train station or 20-30mins from Gent Sint-Pieters Station if you come by tram.

If you would like to book extra cleaning during your stay that can be arranged, just let us know.

Mosquitoes can be a problem in the city during the summer months. We advise that you bring mosquito repellant with you, just in case they are disturbing for you.

The property is in an ideal location which is walkable to the train station and all the historic areas in Ghent. Communication with the host was excellent before and during our stay. The home was well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Neat as a pin and very comfortable. Well-stocked kitchen and coffee/tea bar. We loved the living room with its cozy seating and lots of plants. Would definitely come again when in Gent.

Great space for lots of people. The living room area has a wonderful vibe, especially in the morning. We didn't cook but loved how well appointed the kitchen is. Wonderful coffee maker. A perfect spot for our first visit to Gent. What a beautiful city. One thing to consider is that the staircase to the bedrooms is spiral which can be a challenge for anyone with even mild mobility issues, especially with luggage.
