Welcome to The West Wing, a spacious and beautifully designed two-bedroom, three-bathroom retreat in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Blending the charm of the South Downs with refined interiors and two acres of landscaped gardens, this is the perfect escape for families and groups of friends looking to unwind in style.

Inside, you’ll find a home finished to the highest standard with Farrow & Ball tones, antique and bespoke furniture, and a dramatic vaulted kitchen-diner that’s made for gathering. Whether you’re preparing a relaxed breakfast or hosting an elegant evening meal, this space is truly the heart of the home.

Step outside to discover manicured gardens that change beautifully with the seasons—roses in summer, grapevines in early autumn, and something in bloom all year round. Guests love spending sunny days by the heated outdoor pool (May–September), and cozy winter evenings in the five-person hot tub under the stars. Multiple lounge areas across the grounds invite you to relax, read, or simply soak in the peace of the countryside.

Though the gardens, pool, and hot tub are shared with our family and one smaller guest cottage, most of the time you’ll enjoy them in near-total privacy. And if you happen to meet our gentle old dog Charlie, he’ll be delighted to say hello.

Beyond the property, you’ll find quaint English villages just minutes away, with traditional pubs, cafés, and country walks. For breathtaking views, head to nearby Devil’s Dyke, or take a short 15-minute drive into Brighton & Hove to enjoy the beach, the Lanes, the Pavilion, and the vibrant city atmosphere before retreating to the calm of the countryside.

As your hosts, we’ll be as hands-on or as discreet as you wish. We’re always nearby if you need us—but otherwise, the space is yours to enjoy in peace.

A wonderfully relaxing stay in a beautiful property set in glorious surroundings.The property is thoughtfully finished to the highest standards and is equipped with everything that could be needed. The gardens are beautiful and tranquil. The pool is a huge bonus and the recent addition of a hot tub is yet another thoughtful touch.Our hosts are kind and generous - always on call for questions - but never intrusive.We stayed for a week and only left the property once (to visit Pooh's Bridge in the Ashdown Forest). Our eight year old was more than happy in such a welcoming and safe environment. He is asking when we can return ..... not soon enough!
