Holiday Rental in the Heart of Assisi – Historic Centre

A cosy 45-square-meter apartment located in the charming historic centre of Assisi, inside an ancient Roman aqueduct. The apartment is located on flat ground, just 200 metres from the car park and public transport stop, both easily accessible on foot. The Basilica of Saint Clare and Piazza del Comune are a short distance away, as is the Sanctuary of the Spoliation (Carlo Acutis).

The apartment features a bright living area with a fully equipped kitchen (oven, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, dishes, table linens, and various utensils), a comfortable sofa, TV, and kitchen linens included.

Papal Basilica and Sacred Convent of St. Francis – This monumental complex, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, houses the remains of St. Francis and features frescoes by artists such as Giotto and Cimabue. ​

Eremo delle Carceri – Nestled in the woods of Mount Subasio, this is a place of meditation associated with St. Francis.

Convent of San Damiano – Where St. Francis received the message from the Crucifix and where St. Clare lived.

Basilica of Saint Clare – Dedicated to the founder of the Poor Clares, it houses the crucifix that spoke to Saint Francis.

Piazza del Comune – The heart of city life, it is home to the Temple of Minerva, the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, and the Civic Tower.

Tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis: his body is visible in a glass case, a pilgrimage destination for people from all over the world.
Church of Santa Maria Maggiore: an ancient church of the Bishopric, where St. Francis renounced his possessions.

Scenic trails: Well-marked trails suitable for all skill levels, from beginner walkers to experienced hikers. Among the best known is the Sentiero di Francesco, which follows in the footsteps of the Saint of Assisi.

Flora and fauna: The park is home to forests of holm oaks, oaks, and beeches, as well as a rich variety of wildlife, including foxes, porcupines, and numerous bird species.

Historical and spiritual sites: The Eremo delle Carceri, ancient mills, rural churches, and archaeological ruins along the route.

Spectacular views: From the summit of Mount Subasio (1,290 m), you can enjoy a 360° view of all of Umbria.
