BECKSIDE, family friendly, character holiday cottage in Ambleside
Beckside rests in Ambleside, Cumbria and can sleep six guests in three bedrooms.
Beckside, a single-storey cottage, consists of a kitchen/diner with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and seating for six guests, a utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, a sitting room with Smart TV and woodburning stove, and a conservatory. The bedrooms consist of a super-king-size, king-size, and twin serviced by a bathroom and shower room. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with patio and furniture and off-road parking for two cars. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Within 0.8 miles you will find a shop, pub and river and within 0.9 miles you will find a lake. Beckside offers a splendid retreat, whatever time of year. Note: There is a Good Housekeeping Bond of £250. Note: Please supervise children in the garden as there are steps up to the seating area.
Amenities: Gas central heating. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer
Smart TV, WiFi. Gas and electric inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair and travel cot available on request. Off-road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed garden with patio and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 0.3 miles, river 0.5 miles, lake 0.9 miles. EV charging stations located 3 mins by car (EV charging is not permitted at the property). Note: Please supervise children in the garden as there are steps up to a raised seating area.
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside with its numerous shops makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips, and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and the lakeside at Waterhead with parkland offering lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach. A walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre. Ambleside has plenty of restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes from great fish & chips to its two Michelin Star restaurants and all tastes in between are catered for.
