Experience the charm of a beautifully refurbished, fully detached 200-year-old cottage, nestled in the tranquil village of Upwell on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border. With a stunning garden and idyllic riverside setting, Shrewness House is perfect for family gatherings, social events, birthdays, Christmas celebrations, and hen parties. (Please note: we do not accept stag parties.)

Shrewness House comfortably sleeps 8 guests and is both child and pet-friendly. A travel cot and high chair are available for your convenience.
At the bottom of the garden, the old course of the River Nene provides full mooring rights, ideal for canoeing, boating, and fishing—or simply relaxing while watching the boats drift by.
Outdoor Living at Its Best
Make the most of the outdoors with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and BBQ area, complete with sofas and armchairs for ultimate relaxation. For those who love outdoor cooking, we also have a Texas-style offset smoker.
Enjoy your morning coffee next to the large fish pond, surrounded by serene countryside views.
