Oyster Cottage is perfectly located just off the trendy Harbour Street, and high street which has an abundance of friendly and lively cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutique shops. It is also only a few minutes’ walk to the harbour where you can watch the fishing boats come and go or book a trip out to the legendary Maunsell sea forts, or maybe go seal watching. Whitstable also has a thriving arts scene, and live music is a popular feature in many of the pubs. The cottage has a lovely, sociable, open plan living space at the back of the property with kitchen, dining and sitting areas all overlooking the garden, accessed via bifold doors. It also has a cosy separate sitting room with wood burner, and family bathroom. Upstairs are two good sized bedrooms. Further afield are the historic market town of Faversham and the medieval City of Canterbury, both great for days out, as well as some lovely coastal walking and cycling routes.

We stayed at the oyster cottage in Whitstable which was anvery charming house, well decorated and spacious. Loved the local art all around the house and had everything at hand. Personally I didn’t like the beds, one was too hard and the other one had a pit. Otherwise it would have been perfect.
