About this property
Casa d'Abreu Neto | Siza's First Work
The Casa d’Abreu Neto, one of the iconic "Four Houses" by Álvaro Siza, came to life in 1957. It was his first project, and the d'Abreu Neto family were his first "victims."
The brilliance and authenticity of the architecture and history are present in every corner.
Recently, the granddaughter Maria Manuel Neto has continued the story of the house and opened its doors for architecture enthusiasts and curious minds of Siza to experience an unforgettable stay in this iconic space, full of meticulous details.
Exclusivity is a hallmark of Casa d'Abreu Neto. From door and window handles, lighting fixtures, staircases, chimneys, handrails to finishes, everything reflects Siza's original thought.
After 70 years, Siza returns to his first work, and with his critical eye, he renovates it while preserving the Soul of the House.
Currently, you can experience the requalified and furnished house designed by architect Siza, containing works by the architect himself.
Emphasis is placed on all things Portuguese, from crockery, cutlery, textiles, artwork, books, furniture, to consumables.
The house has 4 rooms with 6 beds, one double and 5 singles.
The Fernanda Room is the "Our Architect" room, where you’ll find memories related to the origin of the house, along with a sofa-bed that can be used if needed.
There are 2 full bathrooms – equipped with personal care products, towels, bathrobes, and slippers, one on the ground floor and another on the upper floor.
The living and dining rooms overlook the beautiful garden and are adorned by the iconic wooden staircase.
In the kitchen, you'll find everything you need to prepare the most delicious meals, highlighted by the emblematic cone-shaped chimney.
You’ll also have access to the laundry room.
Security deposit of €700. This amount is not charged, only pre-authorized on the credit card. Failure to comply with the House Rules may result in deductions from the deposit and/or additional charges. We also reserve the right to terminate the stay immediately, without any refund.
