Sigwells House - sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms
Dating back to 1935, this impressive and stylish Art Deco house offers generous accommodation for up to eight guests, with attractive décor and furnishings throughout. On arrival you will step into the hall, off which you will find the beautiful sitting room where you are invited to relax on comfortable sofas in front of the open fire, or to step out onto the terrace to enjoy the large garden. A well-equipped kitchen with central island and breakfast bar sits next to the family dining room where you can enjoy meals together in this sociable space. Further along the hallway you will find a cloakroom, and the first of four well-appointed bedrooms; a large double bedroom with garden views and an en-suite bathroom with shower.
On the first floor, off a bright and open landing, you will find the remaining three bedrooms, all offering exceptional views across the stunning countryside. You will have the choice of a large double-aspect king-size with its own en-suite shower room, a second king-size bedroom, or a twin bedroom. The family bathroom includes a large walk-in shower enclosure and a free-standing bath.
Ideally situated within Dorset and conveniently close to the border of Somerset also, splendid Sigwells House sits amongst stunning countryside and close to Cadbury Castle and Corton Denham Beacon, and with the popular town of Sherborne just ten minutes away. There are numerous pretty villages close by, and the location is ideal for trips to Glastonbury, Wells, Bruton and Hauser & Wirth, The Newt, Stourhead and all the delights of Dorset.
Sigwells House is blessed with having three good pubs just a short drive or 30-minute walk away, and Sherborne offers a great choice of eateries and shops, as well as having two castles, an Abbey and The Sherborne arts and events venue.
Inscribed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the glorious Jurassic Coast can easily be reached in under an hour, and the drive will take you through the glorious rolling Dorset countryside.
