The house offers superior accommodation, from the spacious master bedroom, to the king sized room, and a slightly smaller double room for smaller members of the family.
Large living room with wood fore, kitchen and family rooms all open onto the garden.
Set at the end of a private drive in the heart of the Somerset Mendips, this family farm house is the perfect rural retreat allowing you to escape from the modern hustle & bustle. With a massive family kitchen, and a large airy space with huge family dining table, Large dual aspect living room that opens onto a mature private garden with its mill stream. It is the perfect place to socialise, entertain and dine.
You can enjoy indoor or outdoor cooking, reading, yoga in the large two story atrium, knitting on a wonderful sofa, chilling in the garden, cozying up in front of the log fire or going on a beautiful adventure into the heart of Avalon.
Close proximity to Castle Cary, Somerton, Street, Glastonbury (including Pilton & the festival site) Shepton Mallet and Bruton being a short drive away. Bath, Bristol, Stone Henge are less than an hour away.
Set in the heart of the Somerset countryside and you have access to country walks, wild swimming, cosy pubs, independent food and drink suppliers, ancient, historical, quirky towns and markets.
Parts of the farm are quite old - the Mill & its stream are in the Doomsday book, there are old local stories that the flour for King Alfred's burnt cakes was milled in our Mill around 850AD.
After a significant investment during Autumn 2024, the entire site is now powered with solar power mounted on one of the larger outbuildings,
Large collection of books and tabletop games, outdoor games available on request.
River Brue course fishing available on the property.
We have a High Chair and Travel Cot on request.

The country getaway and family home for the Heap family for nearly 30 years. We absolutely love living here and are so excited to share our home with you. We get to enjoy the serenity of being hidden away and surrounded by nature but also have access to amenities nearby that makes
life quite comfortable!
