About the host
Hosted by Mia Parmenter

We're Mia and Adam – experienced hosts and parents to two young children. We've both travelled and lived in different parts of the world, and one of the things we've always appreciated most is the warmth of genuine hospitality. That’s something we strive to offer every guest who stays with us. We love the outdoors, especially hiking and long walks in nature, and enjoy finding peaceful places that let us slow down and connect with our surroundings. Hosting allows us to share that sense of calm and connection with others.
Why they chose this property
We recently made the move to West Dorset and quickly fell in love with everything this area has to offer. The community here is incredibly friendly and welcoming, with a lovely local shop, bakery, pub, and a fantastic restaurant all a short walk away. We especially enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside, the fresh air, and the many nearby walking trails – not to mention being just a short drive from the stunning Jurassic Coast. Whether we're exploring local woodlands or spending a breezy afternoon by the sea, we never run out of places to discover.
What makes this property unique
What makes it truly special is the blend of rustic features with modern comfort – think original stonework, cosy interiors, and spacious rooms with all the essentials. The cottage offers beautiful views over on open paddock, a private fenced garden, and its own entrance, so guests can enjoy privacy and tranquillity. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind completely, whether you're sipping a coffee while watching the sunrise or settling in after a day of coastal adventure.
We love welcoming guests to Stables Cottage and hope you'll feel at home here – relaxed, refreshed, and inspired by everything this beautiful part of the world has to offer.
