The property is set in wonderful countryside with stunning views and plenty of space for the dog to roam around,we had a really nice stay and is within half an hour of everywhere we wanted to go. The hosts are a lovely couple and the accommodation was roomy and comfortable especially the bed. Thanks for being there we will definitely recommend and return there again. Pete and Dee
Good location for getting around Dorset, nice to have a mix of countryside accommodation and touring the seaside resorts that are within easy reach. The owners are lovely, warm and welcoming - would stay again.
The views are something else, an amazing location and excellent accommodation in area of outstanding beauty. Lived in East Dorset for many years, but West Dorset and coast line is just something.
Great base for exploring the area. Cosy and comfortable cottage surrounded by lovely countryside and nature. Friendly hosts who will go out of their way to help - thank you Mike and Lyn.
Ammonite cottage is a lovely play to stay, situated in tranquil countryside but with easy access to nearby towns and coastal areas. The cottage is well equipped and maintained to a high standard. It is very clean and comfortable and hosts Mike and Lyn are friendly and on hand should you need any help or advice.
We enjoyed it and there were plenty of places to visit. Lovely places to walk with our dogs. Only problem you had to drive a long way for a sandy beach.
We had a lovely week in Ammonite cottage. It’s in a stunning peaceful location and within easy reach by car to various locations on the coast. The hosts are very friendly and helpful if you need anything. Our dog loved running around in the fenced fields and the walks down to the ponds. Many thanks, would love to stay again.
Had a great stay here it was just as described and good communication with Mike who gave us a great restaurant recommendation for our wedding anniversary meal.
Beautiful surroundings and peace and quiet and dark skies and stars !
Having never used a holiday let before, was overjoyed at the cleanliness and spacious facilities.
Quiet location, definitely needed transport to get anywhere
Ammonite Cottage proved the perfect base for discovering the beauties of West Dorset. The property is extremely well equipped and organised; it is furnished in a pleasingly calm style and the atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming. The position is wonderful - overlooking fields and distant hills, close to a striking Roman hill fort. The general area is incredibly attractive and full of interest. Lyn and Mike, our hosts, were really helpful both about the property and about the wider region. We would love to return.
We had a wonderful time at Ammonite Cottage, it was a shame to leave.
After 1 day we were already calling it home 😊
Mike and Lyn were extremely friendly hosts, the cottage is very well equipped and the cleanliness is second to none.
Our two dogs really enjoyed the large enclosed field where they could run off the lead.
It’s location, far from the bustle of the towns and away from the road, gave us the piece and quiet that we were after. That said, Bridport, the coast and the many attractions were within easy reach.
For us this was one of the best holiday accommodations that we have ever stayed in.
Lovely bungalow, small but cosy. Nice setting in the country. Quite and peaceful. Excellent support from Mike and Lyn, very caring. Easy access for my wife’s wheelchair with a walk in shower/ wet room. Massive clothes storage in the bedroom. Good play field for our dog with enclosed fencing but bring wellies for walking. Very pleased 😀 with our stay.
We found the cottage in a wonderful location with great views, very quiet with all that we needed. The owners were very helpful and really great hosts. There was so much to do and see in the area with many lovely places to walk and good pubs to enjoy a meal. Highly recommended.
