we booked Meadow Cottage for a long weekend unfortunately coinciding with Storm Darragh resulting in a major power cut and forced us to cut short our break as we'd been without power for over 24 hours. However, we really liked Broadwindsor - the Stableyard, White Lion and community shop are great assets, plus nowhere is too far to drive if you want to venture further afield. And Meadow Cottage is spacious and well equipped, with a lovely garden and parking.
This is a great little house. Perfect for us 3 guys who wanted a getaway from London. Perfect location to hike the countryside and explore the local area.
The house suited us perfectly with 3 bedrooms, large lounge, well equipped kitchen, bbq in the private (large enough) garden and a nice sized living room.
Broadwindsor is quite quiet but we were within easy driving distance of some good farm shops, cider makers and the coast!
Great location and dramatic countryside - what more could we ask for on our hiking holiday!

The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped.
The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The location was perfect for us: we were seeking somewhere we could enjoy our first meals out for months and have a change of scene without having to mix with crowds. The Craft Centre in the village was a real asset with its design studios and the very pleasant café/restaurant, and the excellent Community Store was extremely useful. We enjoyed the easy access to the long stretch of Chesil Beach, a pleasant ten mile drive. Caretaker Mike was very helpful and welcoming.

Meadow Cottage is a lovely place which we enjoyed staying in.
Meadow Cottage is a lovely place which we enjoyed staying in. Things could be improved by replacing old/updating things or not having to watch the TV which was sat on the floor. Also not everything was thoroughly cleaned - but overall we had a great stay here. It’s a great house/garden and the sand pit was a HUGE hit even if the toys provided were all old/broken it didn’t matter as we had our own. We’d definitely recommend to others with family and would come back.

Thank you so much for making everything so easy.
Thank you so much for making everything so easy. Myself and my family came over for a funeral and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. With so much else going on it was so lovely to be able to just walk in to this perfectly kept and cosy home.
Thank you.
