About this property
Woodland Hideaway on a Working Farm Near Snowdonia
Tucked away in a private field on a quiet farm in Conwy, North Wales, Castor is a peaceful off-grid retreat surrounded by trees, rolling hills, and grazing sheep. It’s the kind of place where you wake up to birdsong, spot the occasional deer, and feel completely removed from the rush of everyday life. Just 30 minutes from Snowdonia National Park, you’re perfectly placed for coastal walks, castle visits, and waterfall hikes.
The cabin is ideal for couples seeking a romantic escape, solo travellers in need of a reset, or small groups looking to reconnect with nature. Inside, you’ll find a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings, and outside, a private deck for summer drinks and stargazing. Occasionally, you might see the local farmer tending to livestock or harvesting nearby fields—adding to the charm of this rural setting.
Abergele is a 10-minute drive away and offers traditional pubs, cafés, and local shops. If you fancy stretching your legs, it’s about a 50-minute walk through scenic countryside to reach the town.
Castor is well situated and accessible via car - only 40 mins from Liverpool, 1 hour from Manchester or 3h 30m from London.
Castor is accessible via public transport - being only a short 15 minute taxi ride from the nearest railway station (Abergele station)
Parking is available on-site and it's a short 250 metre walk through two fields to the cabin.
Wellies are provided in the log store to help with the walk during wetter month
