About this property
Historic clifftop house with stunning lighthouse views, large rooms, sleeps 6-8*
Clean, cosy, 3 bedroom, clifftop house in historic fishing village, 3 miles South of Peterhead. Well loved rather than grand luxe.
Large, full height rooms for up to 8 (*6 adults).
Stunning views (see genuine photos) with seasonal seal, dolphin & whale sightings (binoculars & telescope included).
Aberdeen airport 30 mins by car, or by bus via Ellon. Other buses include: Aberdeen, Peterhead & Fraserburgh museums; Slains Castle; Bullers of Buchan; Cruden Bay; Newburgh; Trump & other world class golf links.
The space
Retaining cottage-like cosiness, but without the claustrophobia, this full-sized house maximises window and ceiling heights to provide panoramic sea views and a bright, unconfined layout.
The house sleeps up to 8 in total, incl. children (max. 6 adults), although at maximum capacity the living and dining space will be a bit of a squeeze.
Kitchen renewed and bathroom updated in Dec 2020. All other furnishings are recent.
As a well loved, historical holiday house (with listed status), which is subject to the full power of the North Sea, the decor is not always perfect. We believe that is reflected in the pricing.
Significant discount available for work stays of 1 week or longer - booking site will calculate automatically.
Very effective gas central heating and hot water.
Full bath with electric shower.
Gravelled seafront parking / garden space with a raised viewing platform and alcove for a barbecue (included).
Guest access
Outdoor seating area with raised vieiwng platform and barbecue provided.
Commercial fishing and sightseeing trips available (in season) from Boddam harbour.
Owners have a 20 foot, 35 knot cabin cruiser available by negotiation - see separate Airbnb listing.
Other things to note
Aberdeenshire Council STL licence no. AS-00878-F
Bedding and towels will be provided for the number of guests listed in your booking. Beds can be made up (and stripped) for an additional flat rate of £15 for the whole house; please request in advance and leave the payment as cash in the microwave when you check-out.
Parking onsite for small car, or plenty of free on-street spaces.
The property is on three floors, with the bathroom on the first floor.
This is a period, residential property with stunning, but exposed, coastal views. As such, please be prepared for some signs of age and weather.
