spacious house, well exposed with garden offering calm and proximity to the coast (coves and sandy beaches) .. The village is quiet and is 5 minutes from the village of Ploemeur and less than 1 km from the coast. ideal place for sports enthusiasts: famous surf spots of Fort-blocked and Guidel, kite-surfing, 18-hole golf course, facing the sea, mountain bike course, greenway 500 m from the village.
You can also walk the many coastal paths facing the island of Groix or cross the harbor to reach Port-Louis and its citadel.
Do not forget the Interceltique festival in Lorient, a must-attend event in early August.
Also discover the Gulf of Morbihan, Vannes, Carnac and southern Finistère within an hour (Pont-Aven and its painting galleries, Concarneau and its walled city, the Glénan islands.)

hideaway by the sea

A beautiful well equipped French home not far from stunning beaches that are very popular for surfers. A clean home with plenty of room to spread out for a family with room for a car right outside. Friendly neighbours and a very quiet out of the way location. A good variety of supermarkets and small towns nearby easily reached by car. A nature reserve just along front is well worth a visit.

Good stay but description and double bed need attention

We had a good stay. Some points of improvement: 1) The description of the accommodation does specify that this is actually the house where the owners live in. So essentially it is an AirB&B (the owners rent the house for 3 weeks yearly whilst they go on holidays themselves) . We would not have booked if this would have been made clear as we feel uncomfortable staying at a house full of personal stuff of the owners. 2) The double bed in the master bedroom is really tiny and narrow. Furthermore the bed is very soft so 2 persons are literally rolling tight against each-other and in a dent. We cannot recommend this bed to any-one with back-issues. 3) The driveway to the house is shared with 2 other neighbours so to reach the house, one has to cross over the path belonging to the 2 neighbours. 4) The description does not specify anything about sheets and towels so we presumed these were included but hey were not. 5) The 2 bedrooms on the second floor are tiny and very basic, as is the bathroom on the second floor. 6) Communication of the location and how to reach the house needs improvement. We waited close-by and had to call the owner to meet us. This process lasted for an hour. Location is good, Quiet neighbourhood with only very occasionally some noise from the nearby private airport. 5 Km from Ploemeur where there are supermarkets, some shops and restaurants. Many beaches are very close. Good place for cycling, hiking and enjoying the beaches. Golf course nearby.

Allow me to reply to your comments: I had reminded you a few days ago to bring your sheets.In order to arrange we lent you sheets for free. You arrived one hour before the times planned and I warned you that the house was difficult to find but you were welcomed at the good time. Beds are standard size and the rooms photos are not misleading. For all these reasons I find your assessment unfair.

Excellent séjour dans cette typique maison bretonne

Si vous cherchez une location au décor aseptisée comme dans les magazines, passez votre chemin. En revanche, si vous cherchez une maison qui a une âme, qui a du vécu et où on se sent de suite comme chez soi, n'hésitez pas ! En plus, beau jardin, à 2 pas de l'océan, en pleine campagne mais près de toutes les commodités.

Très agréable maison

La maison et le jardin sont très agréables et fonctionnels. Le chemin d'accès est un droit de passage et les voisins sont très sympathiques. Idéalement placée à quelques minutes des plages dans un hameau très calme. Nous avons passé un très très bon séjour. Merci!

Très agréable séjour en Bretagne

Un très bon séjour dans une location typique de la région, avec tout le confort et l'espace dont nous avions besoin, et dans un hameau très calme. Sa situation géographique nous a permis de nous déplacer à vélo pour faire des promenades en bord de mer. Les paysages sont magnifiques . Nous avons apprécié les restaurants des alentours, et une sortie à l'île de Groix a agrémenté notre séjour. Nous en garderons de très bons souvenirs!
