Beach front Private home. Family time. Quiet, spacious, oceanside, beautiful.

We designed and built this home from the sand up in 1997. Our mission is to welcome family and friends in a environment of quiet luxury. The home is Crump family owned and operated by the McCarthy family that built it. Thus we know, and care about every detail, and we share management , improving the end result! The ocean view is expansive and terrific from our four spacious decks. The home boasts two master bedrooms, each featuring King-sized beds.

Great location!

We have rented this house for two years and love sitting on the porch in the morning, drinking coffee and enjoying the ocean view. While the house is older, you can’t beat the location.

Excellent Beach Vacation!

Perfect location for a family beach getaway! Roomy and clean. Owner and manager very accessible and helpful. Loved the community. The beach is literally out the front door!

Family Beach Trip 2022

Stayed here our second year in a row because the house location and set-up for multiple families are absolutely great. Hope to return next year. Updated living room furniture would be nice, but overall the place is wonderful.

We’ve stayed here 3 years in a row. Great location and great multi-family set-up. We really like this place but furniture is getting old, including living room furniture and beds. Updating that would really help this place. Just a suggestion not so much a complaint.

Ideal Family Property

We had a great experience at the Sandcastle. The rooms were perfect for the 3 families and grandparents that stayed here. The location is ideal. Walk to beach and a short drive to downtown Fernandina. There are too many cool amenities to list like the mini play area underneath the house for kids, the outdoor enclosed shower, and the rooftop deck to name a few. The only issue we had was we had a bad week of weather (it happens) but the main family area was great for board games and tv to wait for the rain to pass. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful

Crump Sandcastle is a gorgeous getaway. The house is thoughtfully laid out and has everything you may need. I usually bring some of my own cookware and knives, but to my surprise the kitchen was very well stocked with great quality items. We loved the screened porch and spent a lot of time feeling the ocean breeze. My grandkids loved the pirate, and named him Horace :) The 3 year old in particular had many meaningful discussions with him. My granddaughter celebrated her first birthday on Friday, and I couldn't think of a more beautiful place to spend such a momentous day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Amazing stay

This is our second time staying at this fabulous beach house. We had 9 adults and 2 babies. Everything was great. The kitchen was stocked with all you need to cook with even a fryer and a crockpot. It is a fabulous house for many people. The beds were comfy, even in the July heat the air kept up enough for 11 of us. Under the house there is plenty of room for beach things and 5 trucks. They have 2 swings and a sand area shaded that was nice to play in for the babies. You are directly across from the most beautiful beach so walking back and forth for meals was easy. The screened in porch has 2 porch swings that were used a lot. Perfect place to have coffee in the early mornings. We love this house! We will stay again. Thank you to the owners for all your love and care that you put into the house. It is evident.

Our second year enjoying this home for our family vacation, it was a great space for lots of families, including little ones. The screened porch is idyllic, the "roof top" patio was such a haven, and the sand play space under the house entertained our pre-schoolers for hours. The bathrooms have been updated, as well as other nice "freshenings."

Enjoyed our stay! It was plenty big enough for our big family but wished there were TVs in all the lower level bedrooms. But that’s a small ask. Ole ty close to the beach and close to downtown.

Soul Sistas Beach week #16

This is our second year staying at Crump’s Sandcastle. It is perfect for our group of 12 friends, ages 60-75. This is our 16th yearly beach trip. We have stayed at several different homes but this is by far the best. It’s not only the spaces and number of bathrooms but you can tell this is a well loved and cared for home. We have already reserved for next year!

Girls Getaway

We are four 60 women that plan a trip together once a year. Amelia Island was our favorite so far. This house is in a perfect location. The beach is steps away and it is less than 10 minutes to the historic downtown or the grocery store. Also, the house is very well appointed with everything we could need. We are talking about a returning.

Spring Break Memories

We’ve been coming to Fernandina Beach for Spring Break the last 7 years. The last four of which have been spent at this house. I don’t think there is a more perfect location for our family. The proximity to a quiet section of beach and the relaxing porch to swing and watch the ocean are our favorite features. This house was built for families and we have used it to make memories for ours.

Better Than Before

This is the second time I've stayed in this house; the last was in 2020. If anything, the house is in better shape than before, with upgrades most notable in the bathrooms. The location can't be beat. The house is comfortable and well-equipped. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
