In the heart of the Villaviciosa Estuary Nature Reserve, just 300 metres from Rodiles Beach, stands an absolutely exceptional estate. A haven of complete privacy where nature and Asturian tradition blend in perfect harmony.
The property features a generously sized house, fully equipped and designed for the most discerning comfort. With room for 8 people (2 bedrooms with queen-size beds and 2 with twin beds), it is the ideal place for both families and small groups. The 2 bathrooms and spacious living areas offer comfort, privacy, and a welcoming atmosphere in every corner.
The exterior is a true green paradise: a sprawling garden dotted with traditional local structures (a bread bin and a granary), which lend it a unique and authentic character. The outdoor spaces—barbecue, outdoor dining area, and lounge chairs—invite you to enjoy the surroundings with the utmost tranquility and style.
Spending the summer at this estate is an once-in-a-lifetime experience, where every detail has been carefully considered to let you experience the luxury of simplicity in one of Asturias’ most beautiful natural settings.
THE SPACE:
Even in the midst of a busy August, this estate offers complete privacy—ideal for relaxation and enjoying nature. The house is fully equipped and features several indoor and outdoor living areas, making it the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful holiday.
In addition, the beautiful and expansive Rodiles Beach is just 300 metres from the house. Rodiles is one of the best beaches in northern Spain for surfing, and there’s a school where you can learn the sport.
The area surrounding Rodiles Beach in Asturias offers a wide variety of options for enjoying nature and the local culture. Some of the highlights include:
Birdwatching: The Villaviciosa estuary, located near the beach, is an important refuge for birdlife, serving as a home to numerous bird species, including some that are endangered. Birdwatching stations in the area allow visitors to get a close-up view of some of these species.
Hiking: The Sierra del Sueve mountain range, located just a few kilometres from the beach, offers hiking trails for all skill levels. From its peaks, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Cantabrian Sea and the Picos de Europa mountain range.
Cider Route: Rodiles Beach is located in the Asturian cider-producing region, so visiting one of the nearby cider bars and sampling their cider is a recommended activity.
Cultural Attractions: The area surrounding the beach is home to numerous villages with a rich history and cultural heritage. Places like Villaviciosa, Tazones, Lastres, and Colunga are recommended stops.
Water Sports: Rodiles Beach is very popular among surfers because of its excellent conditions for surfing. It’s also possible to enjoy other water sports such as stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking.
AMENITIES AND COMMON AREAS:
There are several buildings on the property. The main house features four bedrooms, a full kitchen, a dining room, and several living areas. There is a full bathroom on each floor. Outside, there is a covered gazebo with a small bathroom, a barbecue, and several tables for outdoor dining. The property and garden are large and completely secluded.
The house is fully equipped with all necessary kitchenware, as well as bedding and towels for the entire stay.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:
We have tourist information available for guests in the house, but we also recommend visiting the Villaviciosa Tourist Office (located at Calle del Agua No. 19), where they provide helpful information about the entire area.
The municipality of Villaviciosa is part of the Cider Region and is one of the best places to enjoy this traditional Asturian drink. It also stands out for its culinary offerings, with plenty of restaurants where you can enjoy fine cuisine and fresh seafood.
To plan your stay, you can also visit the Villaviciosa tourism website (turismovillaviciosa dot es) and the Asturias tourism website (turismoasturias dot es), where you’ll find plenty of information in Spanish, English, and French
